A good stay. Comfortable rooms, they have a gift shop I’m the building that I really liked. Very easy to get travel memorabilia.

The hotel rooms were pretty decent and clean. We had 3 rooms, all with queen beds, the pullout sofa and a kitchenette. The mattresses are really hard. The hot tub did not have jets that worked. There were no pool towels. When we checked in, the guy at the front desk was not very friendly. He acted annoyed that he had to help us with 3 reservations. We stayed there one night. Definitely not going back. I would say it is worth the few extra miles to stay in Rapid City, especially in the off season.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Spike. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is convenient. Overall, it was a great stay.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and up to date. The breakfast was a bonus. Very friendly staff and would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights. Although breakfast area was clean and breakfast was adequate, all four mornings offered sausage as the meat and sugared donut holes as the pastry. A variety would have been nice.

Very nice property and very easy walk or drive to downtown Hill City. The hotel was redoing the parking lot to make it even nicer. Very clean rooms and nice breakfast area. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was quite friendly at check-in. The rooms were clean and the pillows comfy. Breakfast was good. We would stay there again.

Front desk staff had no customer service skills and struggled to even find our reservation. No greeting, or even a thank you for staying.
