Lys Homestay

This is my second time staying at Ly's homestay and I will still come back again and again when I'm in Ninh Binh. Ly and her family were very hospitable and made us feel at home. It felt like we were living with family 💖 From cleanliness to location and service, everything was top notch.

We highly recommend Lys Homestay! The family is very lovely, the rooms are clean and cosy. You can rent bikes to a fair price and the location is perfect for backpackers. Thank you very much for this pleasant stay!

J'ai passé un séjour merveilleux dans cet hôtel ! La piscine est tout simplement incroyable et parfaite pour se rafraîchir en fin de journée. La patronne est super gentille et toujours prête à aider. Le petit-déjeuner est au top, offrant une variété de choix délicieux. L'hôtel propose une multitude de services comme la location de vélos et de scooters, ce qui est très pratique pour explorer les environs. De plus, ils vous conseillent sur les itinéraires à suivre à Ninh Binh, ce qui est un grand plus pour découvrir cette belle région. Je recommande cet hôtel à 100 % !

We have returned to Lys Homestay in 12/24 after our wonderful stay in 2/24. This place is a hidden gem if you visit Tam Coc river network in Vietnam. The place is within walking distance to the river launch area and bustling tourist eateries, but where it is located is absolutely quiet, peaceful and free of noise. The title Homestay is misleading, it is a full-fledged hotel with its private rooms and ensuite bathrooms. The facility is very clean, with its breakfast area where free breakfasts are included with wonderful, steaming hot Western and Vietnamese dishes, juice and fresh fruits. Each room is quite spacious, with clean bathroom (not the common wet type in Vietnam), fridge, and a water boiler. The air conditioner runs well, same with shower flow. Laundry service is cheap and with fast turnaround. The swimming pool is sparklingly clean with good size although I have yet to see anyone taking advantage of it - perhaps in summertime only. The host with her son/daughter in law are so warm and welcoming and very informative. They book private cars and tours for us quickly, with their own reliable driver and private cars. Bikes and motorbikes are available for rent right on the property. We once caught some foreign tourists sleeping on a small bed next to the breakfast area when we came down for breakfast. The host admitted that she allowed them to stay in the warm bed when they arrived at 4 AM, way before their check in time. She could not heartlessly turn them away, allowing them to stay there for free until check in time. We thought it was very kind of her. Overall, this place is a must-return home away from home to us.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Tam Coc, this is a really good option. I would for sure stay here again. The location is optimal for exploring and enjoying the eating/drinking establishments in the area. But - the real selling point is the people working here. You become part of the family and everyone is so nice and helpful to make you feel welcome. The breakfast in the morning is hand made and really really good. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot to lay your head in Tam Coc.
