MainStay Suites Hobbs

I booked king SUITE ( Separate Bed room) but they gave me regular room. Also they charge more money than the amount i booked online.!!

Second stay at Mainstay Suites in Hobbs, this time in Room 112. Spacious king bed suite. Has living room/kitchen area and separate bedroom each with own heat/air control and a TV. Huge bathroom with tub/shower and grab bars. Shower head mounted high (at 4'11" could not reach to adjust but hubby could). Chocolate chips cookies and coffee in the lobby, and fruit and oa**eal were still available in the evening. Room door was VERY heavy (a little hard for me to open). In-room coffee maker, hairdryer, and clock. Walk through a corridor to the Comfort Suites for a great breakfast. I'll be back! Thank you Mainstay!

Overall a pretty good stay in Room 229. This place is shared with Comfort Suites (check-in and breakfast are on the Comfort Suites side). The good: cold AC, choice member gift bad on arrival, one-king bed suite, nice suite layout with small kitchen counter/island with chairs, bright lighting, comfortable bed and pillows, good breakfast (eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oa**eal, yogurt, waffles, cereal, juice, fruit, pastries, coffee). The not-so-good: door rubs on floor when opening/closing, paint on bedspread, dent in lamp shade, stain in bathtub low water pressure in shower, elevator was out of order. Room could use a little TLC :( A short walk to Green Meadow Park which has a fishing pond with ducks and a playground...nice little refresher. Pleasant staff. I would book again.

My wife and I always stay here and each time the front desk makes it very easy checking in. Our room is always neat and ready for us. Absolutely amazing service.

The space was wonderful! The kitchen was exactly what we needed however all the furniture was stained and gross. The fold out couch was broke and didnt allow anyone to even sit on the couch. The matteress inside was dirty and stained as well. The air was. Stagnant and thermostats didnt work. We tried the a/c and it was barely cool. The shower has abysmal water pressure and if you turned it up then temp was scalding hot only.

So clean! Breakfast was great, the breakfast staff was so kind & kept everything full & fresh… overall great stay!

I haven’t made a review for this property yet even though my stay was in mid-May because I wanted to give a fair and balanced review, not something that was biased due to annoyance. It’s easy to summarize what was good; the room we had was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The a/c worked well. We liked the kitchen area and the refrigerator. The breakfast was varied and tasty. The employee who maintained the breakfast area during the week was very nice. Even when there was a lot of people it was kept tidy. And we loved having biscuits and gravy! What we did not enjoy is harder to explain since we did not overtly complain. The elevator was broken nearly the entire length of our 10 day stay; we arrived on a Friday and it was broken by Saturday night and was still broken the Monday morning we checked out. We talked to the front desk manager on the Sunday, understandably it couldn’t be seen on a weekend, but after it was seen Monday and we talked again to the manager, we were told a part had to be ordered. We were on the top, third floor; I could have asked to be moved but I know the hotel was full at the time. But it was annoying, least of all because it took days for an “out of order” sign to appear and we would push the button and hope the elevator was working. Another issue was a sewage-like smell that was in the third floor hallway during the last three days of our visit which luckily did not extend into our room.

Hotels were sold out everywhere due to a graduation ceremony that weekend but Alexys was very understanding and thoughtful with and and made check in process available, fast and easy. Will come again in the future!

The lady behind the desk was very sweet! Our room was nice. However when I made the reservation I asked for first floor, due to my mother being disabled and my husband just had shoulder surgery 2 days prior. They couldn’t accommodate so okay, moved on. That Sunday came around the elevator is broke we’re on the 3rd floor. This is our 3rd time staying here and every time the elevator breaks. It’s either the comfort or the main stay. We have 3 kids, a mother that’s disabled and a husband that can’t lift. It was a disaster. I couldn’t wait around for maintenance to come and fix it.
