Das gemütliche Dorfhotel Kaltenhauser

We spent Christmas as a group of 8 (2 families) at Dorfhotel Kaltenhauser and enjoyed our stay so much. The inn is impeccably kept, the staff friendly and very attentive, and the food was wonderful. We came to ski and the accommodations for skiers was perfect with an inside boot room that provided a comfortable place to get your gear on (plus many boot warmers for your return!), and a separate ski room for your skis and poles. Our favorite part was the common area on the third floor where we spent our evenings hanging out. The inn itself is a short shuttle to the Mittersill gondola but is otherwise off the beaten path, meaning you will need a car/taxi to get to a downtown area. But don’t feel like you need to leave the inn if you’re looking for a good meal. Between beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks, and the 5 course meals, you won’t be disappointed or hungry. It was very clear to us that the owners had a lot of pride for this inn that has been in the family for generations. Everything is taken care of for you from the moment you walk in to the time you leave and you are treated like a true guest. We can’t think of a better place to have spent our Christmas holiday away from home.

Located just a kilometer from the G8 Panorambahn, this hotel is an ideal place to ski Kitzbuhel, and then take 30 minute day trips to Zell am See-Kaprun and Zillertal Arena. It is also a great place to stop if you arrive in Munich and are heading south to Dolomiti Superski.  We stayed at 5 different hotels on this 16 day trip, and this was our favorite. Excellent meals, service, and small town location. If you want to party, head to the town of Kitzbuhel. If your focus is skiing, try this 4* hotel.

Es begann schon bei der Buchung der Zimmer. Sehr freundlich und angenehm wurde auf meine Wünsche und Fragen eingegangen. Frau Steinhauser hat unsere 5 Einzelzimmer auf eine Etage gelegt, so dass wir alle zusammen waren. Die großen, sehr sauberen, modern und stylisch gestalteten Zimmer sind großartig. Das Bad ist mit Dusche und Badewanne ausgestattet. Wir hatten in den Betten einen traumhaften Schlaf. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet alles was für den Start in den Tag benötigt wird, in sehr guter und heimischer Qualität. Mittags der kleine Snack ist sehr aufmerksam und man freut sich schon auf die herrliche Mehlspeise und Kaffee. Am Abend kann man die Hauptspeise wählen. Suppe, Vorspeise, Salat und Dessert ist in Buffetform. Alle Speisen sehr, sehr gut. Danke an das Kücheteam. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Getränke sind im Preis enthalten. Die Weine sind sehr gut. Auch alle anderen Getränke. Wir bedanken uns für alle Wandertips, das Wandertaxi und die Stadtführung die Sie für uns organisiert haben. Wir können das Hotel Kaltenhauser nur weiterempfehlen. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Aufenthalt
