The Florian Amsterdam Airport

Hotel location wasn’t great, but within the hotel it’s alright and acceptable.

Very bad experience with Florian hotel. This hotel charge early check-in(which I haven't charged by other hotel before), and no shuttle bus, terrible experience.

We stayed here 3 separate times while traveling in Europe. While not their fault, the road construction in front of the hotel makes things difficult. It is an easy 5 minute bus ride from the airport (hauling bags up and down a staircase to get to the bus stop), but it was difficult for us to get very close via Uber, and either way you tote your suitcases through construction zones to get to the hotel. There are stairs to access the entrance. The receptionists were always friendly and welcoming, although once we had to wait 30 minutes for a room (despite arriving 2 hours after check-in time). The room was comfortable, but a little strange in design. The sink is in the main room, and there are 2 cubicles behind translucent glass doors for toilet and shower. The bed was comfortable and the shower good. Twice the coffeemaker had only decaffeinated coffee which is unpleasant to discover at 5 am! The bar/restaurant served good food and drinks, but the service was not good. Each time we had problems finding a server to order and then pay; once, after waiting 20 minutes to pay, walking around and calling for a server, we just left and returned later for dinner and to pay our bill. The place was just deserted. Overall, it was a good night's sleep and a decent staging area for our flights, but I doubt I'd choose them the next time.

Great value for money. Easy access to nearby busstation. It travels fast to Airport and Amsterdam City. Rooms are well designed.

I am staying at the Florian Hotel at School, there are road works being carried out around the hotel and the normal access routes are blocked off. Last evening around 11.30 pm I tried to find the way to the hotel. There are no signs indicating how to get to the hotel and my satnav had difficulty in finding a route. After approximately 20 minutes of driving through side streets I eventually found a way to the Hotel. I went to drive across the road works to get onto the hotel forecourt unfortunately the surface was very sandy and the car stuck, note it was night time, not well lit and I hadn’t been to this hotel before. The car needed to be towed out and the tow company very generously did not charge. The hotel are not accepting responsibility but I contend the problem arose due to their negligence in 1. not showing signs to indicate a safe route to their hotel and 2. not ensuring a barrier was installed to prevent vehicles from accessing this unsafe area. In my view this is extremely shabby treatment to a guest and future guests need to be warned of the poor customer service, lack of concern for the safety of their guests vehicles and failure to meet their legal duties. I will be posting this on trip advisor and every consumer website I can find.

Good bed. The Hotel looks older than it appears in the photos. Washbasin at the entrance to the room. They did not inform the breakfast time, how it was paid, they did not return the money despite not having taken advantage of it, as it was only available from 8:30.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to airport for a late night arrival. Note, that you have to navigate stairs to get to the lobby from outside. No valet to help with luggage. No washcloths. Bed was very comfortable and so were the giant fluffy pillows. In my room the toilet and shower had separate spaces and the sink was in the main room. It was a quiet stay. The decor is dark/night clubbish. Wifi was a little weak. Signal kept dropping on my phone and laptop. Staff were overall friendly and helpful with exception of housekeeping as someone entered my room without knocking an hour before check out. It cost €37 for a 7 minute taxi ride from the airport. Uber was €21. Signs in the airport as to where rideshare app pickup is located are incorrect. After going in the wrong direction, I took a taxi because it was quicker and closer.
