"Lovely hostel, ~10 min walk to the centre of the town and it’s a lot of fun because of the stunning view of the lake. I stayed in a 2-bunk bed room for 4 nights with a man… As a girl, I didn’t feel comfortable at all. The guys were fine but I think the hostel should consider same gender policy for this kind of room. Also found it very strange that staff doesn’t give towels when people check-in. They only give when you ask. I went all the way to my room to realise the towel isn’t on my bed and another tenant didn’t even know they provided towels."

"The house and facilities were ok but not the room. I was a solo traveler in a 6 bed room. The room smells a lot. It was complicated to get on the top bed. The baking sheet was really bad. But in a really nice place, just in the center. Very nice welcoming."

"Great location to base yourself for a few days of seeing Queenstown. (It really is that close.) Nice and friendly staff at check in and throughout. Most helpful. Ents included TV, books, games, couple of guitars, ocassional theme evenings. Couple of outdoor spaces. Bathrooms are fine although if fairly or more than fairly tall, the shower heads are surprisingly low down. I understand the difficulties with this given the time of year but a floor by floor deep clean is probably needed. Whilst I am no member of the fun police, having numerous notes across the place emphasising the need to keep noise down after 10pm, I can see why this might be a bit galling when the staff who live there alongside guests do not abide by this - especially when you have no idea who is a worker who is off duty. Might be impossible given temperatures, but it wasn't ideal to climb into my bunk in the pitch black (other than the light from my phone) and find a cat sleeping there (honestly!) I like a cat but if I hadn't had my phone lit, I would never have known and would have landed forcefully on it. I actually found it quite funny but a lot wouldn't. All hell could have broken loose if I had landed on it. (Amusingly and no joke, I was watching Don't F*** with Cats at the time and had paused it while I climbed in. Perhaps it was written...) Anyway, really nice spot and right for the price. Cheers!"

"Excellent location and PIN code lock safety mechanism on major entries are helpful. Right next to Intercity coach pickup station which I rely for the whole journey in NZ. There are elevator thus no worry on carrying my heavy huge luggage and hand carried. I stayed in 6 dormitories ensuite. Rooms are bigger and there are a huge storage for each resident. Extra lockers and storage can be found outside the bunk should you need more space. Towel is provided as well. Very quiet at night thus can sleep well. Kitchen is huge and I still find space to put my groceries inside the fridge and cubicle outside. Will be back to stay for a couple of nights when I am back to Queenstown."

"It’s a huge hostel in the prime part of queenstown so it’s a mixed bag on who you’ll be sharing a room with. There isn’t really anywhere to put your things in the room and need your own lock for the small safety cabinets, and sharing 2-4 outlets with everyone in the room, but it’s clean and the bed is fine."

"Great location, nice view of the skyline. If you come early and leave your luggage they charge you 4dollars, other hostels dont."
