Jaz Makadina

We stayed in Makadina in the beginning of November for the almost one week. And we are very happy with our stay! The hotel is really nice with the beautiful rooms, 5 star service, beautiful area, friendly staff and it is so nice that we can walk around as it is part of mini town of Madinat Makadi. Also we visited the Aquaprk and we got a lot of fun! We felt, and all others guests I think, so special there and warm welcomed by everyone. Just we want to say big thanks to everyone and mention some names of the staff with whose we were in contact every day and they were so nice to us: First of all big thanks to Mr. Khaled from Front Office and his team for the warm welcome, nice room and special arrangement for our anniversary! Thanks to Mostafa from Housekeeping, who took care about our room (309) Thanks to the Chef Najha and his team, we loved the food! Thanks to Mostafa from Aqua and Mahmoud from Al Masry as they were very attentive to us. And last but not least, thanks to Disco from animation and his team, we enjoyed all activities and the evening program! Keep it up and we hope to come back P. S. We have two negative points to suggest: the Wi-Fi in the room is very weak and unfortunately, the dinner with a-la carte option is available one time only, but could be more as there a lot of restaurants on the area which we wanted to try (the Nino was nice ).

Absolutely gorgeous hotel set in well tended gardens sitting right on the beach, staff were all very helpful and friendly although some did ask for tips whilst serving you. The reason I have only given the place two stars is due entirely down to the poor quality of the food and drinks, as this is an all inclusive hotel and there are only a couple of independent restaurants close by you have to eat at the hotel. The drinks, wine and beer were often not cold in fact the wine was occasionally warm. The food was bland and it was difficult to find a combination of items that went together to make a complete meal, it was also when we ate towards the end of a sitting Luke warm, if you offer a service for several hours the food should be as good for the late eaters and the early ones. Even the fruit was of poor quality melon hard and tasteless if not good.We were asked by a lady round the pool, a member of staff, if everything was ok and we told her our thoughts on the food and she said she would discuss it with the exec chef who we saw many times wandering around perusing his domain think his time would be better spent in the kitchens planning and checking meals were worth serving. One special mention to the guy who cleaned our room every day he did a really great job and checked with us that we were happy with his work, he also amused us with a different towel sculpture of a different animal each night now he was worth a tip when we left and he never once asked us for one.

We have stayed at over 10 best of the best trip advisor rated hotels and unfortunately this hotel did not meet our expectations. Positives -Room cleaning is great and spotless -Entertainment team are great and shows are fantastic - lovely grounds - cocktails are lovely but very strong - Amara restaurant is the a la carte we visited. Only the mains were tasty, everything else was poor and the wine was warm. Negatives - Food is very repetitive. The breakfast items have stayed the same for the past week and it gets boring - Wi-Fi is awful and need Wi-Fi to book a la carte restaurants. The booking system does not work. We have been here 6 days and only managed to book 1 due to poor Wi-Fi or the system saying restaurants are closed (when they weren’t) - No good for babies is offered and prev hotels supply food. They only have mash, sometimes some beef or fish for kids but not much else - They offer oat milk and other plant based milks at breakfast only. When you want a hot beverage with plant based milk I was told there was only whole milk - there is an entertainment schedule and the husband and I wanted to do cocktail making. When we asked x 3 members they didn’t know what we were talking about. We then were told it was an old schedule. - 2 adults and 2 children were put in a disabled room. We asked for room to be changed and had to pay a fee Suggestion: If you want sweetener refer to it as diet sugar otherwise you get people pulling faces Unfortunately we won’t be returning

I was very impressed by how hardworking the staff members are! I loved the beautiful hotel area, the garden, the building, the beach and everything. I am looking forward to visit Jaz Makadina again next year!

Very good experience, excellent food and entertainment. Good and convenient beach. The weather was quite good but a bit windy. Sea water temperature (in April) was comfortable, a little bit refreshing. Hotel rooms are also very good and spacy.

Great amazing room view, clean and awesome! Had fun every step of the way. The staff are extremely accommodating to make sure you have the best experience you can have, whether it be excursions or animation team activities (which is awesome!) or food and drinks - huge call out for Fouda, my go to cocktail bartender - always serves with a smile that just cheers up your day!

Our stay was lovely. The food was excellent, Chef Nageh is doing a great job. the staff are super friendly and always smiling especially Osama and Mohamed. The animation team are great. Mohamed in the house keeping in building 9 was very clean and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Great stay on all fronts, the food is beyond amazing, in terms of quality, taste, and vareity. The main buffets is great and aqua cafe is sooo good and the staff are very friendly. Khaled at the reception, osama and mahmoud at aqua cafe, mena at reservations, and mohamed house keeping for room 906. The animation team is also great. We had a blast as a family. The rooms are also spacious and clean and great beaxh front.
