We stayed in Balcon el Patio which was a a lovely villa about 800 m from hotel. It is private and quiet but we all would have preferred to stay in the hotel which is full of character with lovely seating areas and nice pool and such an easy relaxed a**osphere. Taxi service is very good to the town of Garachico which has lots of lovely restaurants. Watching and learning about the bananas was fun. make sure if you go you take the long road from south airport. The drive over the mountains is very scary.

Wonderful 16c Hacienda in Banana Plantation Very quirky and quiet. We stayed 5 nights in The Balcony which is a self catering villa right on the coast about 15mins walk from the main hotel through the bananas. Could be a little difficult on very dark nights so we often drove. Last two nights we spent on the original hacienda which was very a**ospheric. Staff were great. Breakfasts adequate. Evening meals limited to 5 nights per week and small menu which didn't change. Nice free coffee and tea 24 hours plus a fridge with paid-for soft and alcoholic drinks. Also a fridge freezer for guests to share. Nice pool, sun loungers and gardens. All very spacious, well kept and quiet.

Had the perfect stay here in November. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, booking taxis for us and giving us some great recommendations for the local area. The area is so peaceful, pool and tennis court are great. Excellent value and would definitely recommend!!

Just back from five days at El Patio. Like many of us, we book these places on websites with fingers quietly crossed behind our backs in the hope that the images we see and the reviews we read are real; at El Patio, for us, they most certainly were. If peace, quiet, tranquility, nature, colour, light, history, personal service, and quality with fuss or pretension is your thing, then El Patio may work for you like it did for us. Thoroughly recommended.

This place is amazing. Here are my thoughts: you will want to rent a car to visit around, they do have parking. This place is reserved for those who don’t want to get caught in the hustle. Quiet, beautiful area within a banana plantation. The beach (rocky) is just a short walk away. Watch the really nice local swim with his dog on his back while spear fishing for octopus. Amazing. The staff is so helpful. They washed our clothes, made us a quick salad and were always ready to help. The restaurant is small but quiet and just the perfect stay. We ate there two nights and the third night went into one of the small towns. One day was spent just relaxing. The other driving along the coast and through the national park up the mountain. Hope you can drive stick. It was all in all a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend it. I would say one recommended would be celling fans in the rooms. But other than that it was stellar. Will stay again I hope.

Nice peaceful surroundings around banana plantations. Retro style rooms, clean. I had a terras with nice sea view. Nice breakfast with home made jams and pastries. Small swimming pool +- 8m or so. Two regrets: you need a car since isolated place, no resto in hotel. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.
