Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort Crete Curio Collection by Hilton

We spent 11 days in Crete Greece the staff at the hotel was a 10 from the front desk to the restaurant staff. Mohmand, Nadia, Mitlos, I do not remember all the other names were amazing. The rooms were outstanding the showers were to die for. The resort opened on April 20th,2024. The only issues we had were, the breakfast buffet had great choices and the staff were wonderful, there were many choices which changed every night, sadly everything was either Lukewarm or cold. The same was true for the evening buffet cold fish, lukewarm potatoes, curry dishes etc. were lukewarm at best so were outright coldThey need to fix that issue as it makes one go to town to eat which we did several times. It was very sad as the restaurant sits right on the beach. Menoa one of their high-end restaurants was just awful, I ordered a Ribeye pink to be grilled with salt, pepper only, it came raw sliced with a sauce and herbs I sent it back the next one came out pink sliced and cold, it had zero flavor. the potatoes had no flavor, my wife ordered the chicken which also had little flavor. Our waiter Nicolos did everything he could to make our experience a good one. Hopefully they will be able to correct these issues as the hotel is just plain gorgeous. The only thing that was extremely irritating was the general manger who I spoke with on 3 different occasions with my wife present would never acknowledge her presence, that was just plain rude. I am a Hilton Diamond member and this is one of the best resorts I ever enjoyed.

We had an amazing and very enjoyable holiday at Numo. The resort was relaxing and had a chilled vibe. Our room was great with a balcony. The 2 pool areas were well provided with loungers and towels. We had a couple of excellent massages, went to the outdoor cinema and had some excellent fitness classes by Petros. The food from the buffet in the morning and evening was delicious and had plenty of choices. All the staff were great - special mention to Petros for his excellent tuition in the fitness classes; Dennis for all his help, ideas and advice for places to visit and all of the waiting staff who were always so friendly, cheerful and helpful - including Themis.

Numo just gets everything right. The resort is utterly gorgeous. Far enough away from the busy resorts to be quiet and secluded, but a quick drive to town if you fancy it. You don’t feel squashed in like sardines by the pool or on the beach, as you do as so many places. The rooms are lovely and serviced what seemed to be several times a day. The evening chocolate and bottle of water was a nice touch. The food is really good for a buffet with different choices daily so you don’t get bored. The Asian fusion restaurant is a must for a treat too. The outdoor gym is fab and the classes fun. The real gem of Numo is the staff though, from reception, to hospitality, to housekeeping, they can’t do enough for you and are just lovely people who seem to genuinely love what they are doing and want you to have a great time. We went mid May 2023 which was perfect. It was warm but not overly hot and the resort was not yet full. We can’t wait to go back in a couple of weeks, which is what reminded me I never did a review at the time and kept meaning to as they deserved every 5 🌟 review!

We absolutely loved our time at the Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort. We’re a couple in our mid-thirties who wanted to just escape for a week. We weren’t particularly interested in doing much exploring, and actively wanted to just sit by the beach, read and unwind. Numo is just perfect for this. The beach isn’t private but it might as well be, as it feels incredibly secluded and calm. It was tricky to secure a sun lounger on a couple of occasions but we managed to get a spot every morning, even when we slept in or spent too long at breakfast. I’d recommend bringing a mask and snorkel if you have them; there are plenty of fish to be seen even if you only paddle in a few metres. Otherwise these can be rented from the dive shop on site. The larger of the two pools is right next to the beach. A DJ plays progressive house music between midday and 15:30 every day. Think more ‘Ibiza chill out’ rather than a party; our experience was the guests were mostly couples doing the same as us. The nearby pool bar is well stocked, with an excellent cocktail menu, decent enough food and provided a shady spot away from the heat of the pool and beach. At night the DJ returns, usually playing a more upbeat set whilst guests sip cocktails and admire the views. The quiet pool became our haven during the hot afternoons. Its rectangular shape makes it ideal for swimming lengths for the more athletically-inclined. The nearby gym was well equipped, with classes happening every day and a reasonable selection of machines and weights. We didn’t use the tennis court but could see it from our balcony which made for some satisfying people-watching in the early evenings. The main restaurant, where breakfast is served, is large enough with a selection of indoor, covered terrace and full-sun seating. We opted for ‘bed and breakfast’ rather than half-board, and were consistently impressed with the selection and quality of food available from the buffet. You could help yourself to everything from fried eggs, bacon, cheese, roasted peppers and spinach pie through to croissants, fresh fruit, cereals and, of course, Greek yogurt. The coffee served was always exceptional, and the iced cappuccinos always set us up nicely for a morning on the beach. The restaurant seemed slightly less impressive for dinner. We went on our first night after arriving late. The ‘a la carte’ options didn’t seem particularly exciting so we opted for the buffet which was slightly disappointing. The subsequent nights we opted to go into Ierapetra for dinner instead (a ten minute taxi ride away). Even with an €18 round trip in the taxi it remained as cheap, if not cheaper, and we found the food in Ierapetra to be superior to the meal we had in the restaurant on that first night. Plus it was nice to branch out and try the local cuisine. The hotel also offers a more specialty restaurant which is only open Wednesday to Sunday, but we didn’t try this. Finally, the room. We had a very minor issue with our bathroom on

We loved this trip. My partner enjoyed all the inclusive fitness opportunities. I'm not a beach or sea swimmer normally but the beach was attached to the hotel with all the best of both worlds and the sea was so clear and free of anything 'dangerous' it was a pleasure to swim in. The staff were really lovely and we didn't feel ripped off. For example water was 2 euros a bottle. Note its 50 cents at a shop but of course this is a hotel, delivering water to your bed in ice buckets so compared with other hotels who I have experienced charging a lot for water we felt that was right. The A la carte menu we had was great. Major tip alert to prospective holiday goers is the half board buffet that others had, I hear was not so great, so I advise take the a la carte option. The smellier was knowledgeable, sweet and enthusiastic. So why not five stars? To be honest I'm almost being harsh, I'd like to give 4.7 and I'm just knocking a bit off because, perhaps too often, service took a long time. On each occasion however they were aware of this and gave free drinks food etc without having to ask or make any complaint. It would be nice to have a little more greek authenticity thrown in but I highly recommend visiting Mochlos fishing village and the restaurant bogazi for that. Its about 30 mins away but we also enjoyed going into town and enjoyed basic simple authenticity of Gorgona

We spent 4 nights at Numo Ierapetra, and had a very good time. The hotel is new, very well maintained, and well managed. The highlights: the SPA treatments (we had deep tissue) were outstanding. The staff was incredibly kind (even though a bit slow disorganised at the breakfast service/restaurant). The breakfast was very good and offers many options. The restaurant also offered very good food for lunch and dinner, at a price that's higher than the restaurants and tavernas outside of the hotel (makes sense) but not excessive as luxury hotels often charge. To keep in mind: bring bug/mosquito repellent - our arms and legs got bitten quite a lot. If you plan on going to Ierapetra, you will need your own wheeles. The town is not walking distance from the hotel. Also, don't expect much from it. The town is pretty run down and doesn't offer much, except of a few tavernas and bars in the seafront.

It's been a long time since I had such an amazing holiday. The hotel has everything you may need. Everybody was really really nice and people made me smile all day long. The food was great, breakfast was the highlight!! The hotel also has a very nice gym with a great personal trainer. I am normally not very active but here I enjoyed so much the group classes and learned a lot about how to take care of myself. I will for sure be back...

During my time at the diving center in Numo, I participated in the PADI course, and I have to say that Ren and Eryfili were outstanding instructors. They were aware of my lung condition, which prevented me from diving in open water, but they went above and beyond to ensure that I had a special and fulfilling experience. Ren and Eryfili’s dedication to making me feel special and included was truly remarkable. They tailored the course to my needs, ensuring that I could still enjoy the underwater world in a safe and controlled environment. Their patience and consideration made me feel valued and cared for throughout the course. Despite the limitations posed by my lungs condition, they provided me with an unforgettable diving experience in a confined water setting. Their efforts went a long way in making me feel not only included but also cherished as a part of the diving community. I can’t thank Ren and Eryfili enough for their exceptional kindness and commitment to ensuring that I had a special and memorable time at the diving center in Numo. They truly made my experience extraordinary.

We stayed 10 nights in October. Refreshing welcome drink on arrival. Complimentary short massage at spa, was fantastic, highly recommend a treatment. Hotel grounds lovely, great pool and beach area with calm waters to swim in. Buffet very good with many options. Seating area at Buffet restaurant very nice overlooking the sea/beach. Staff extremely kind and helpful. 10 euro taxi into the town. small town but has various shopping options and restaurants. Room did not have much storage facilities. only a wardrobe, no desk/tables. bathroom sink area very small also. this could have just been our room as photos etc shown and very different. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend. Thank you Numo!
