The staff does its best to make guests comfortable, but cannot prevent our experience from being not only positive. The hotel is in need of a thorough renovation, it is run down. The air conditioner in our room is in need of replacement and makes too much noise to leave it on at night. The refrigerator was old and rusty, the sink was loose, and very annoying the shower either gave way too hot water or too cold. The beds were downright bad and the sheets were much too small. The tiles on the walkways are frequently broken which creates dangerous situations. The tiles at the pool are also frequently broken and the water does not make a clean impression. Our son opened his knee on a broken tile in the pool. The pump and filter system seem to be too little in operation. The restaurant makes an unsociable impression while the price point suggests a five-star hotel. Three beers are sold for $13.75, which is more than we have paid anywhere in the past three weeks. Eating at night, therefore, we would not recommend. It seems that the owner does not put the customer first; the fact that his own new Toyota Prado is parked pontifically in front of the reception where guests are normally welcomed is quite exemplary of this. What does confirm the picture is that in addition to a 10% service charge, credit card payments can only be made in $ at a very unfavorable exchange rate -/- 10%. This is downright bad. Customer focus best management!
