Ingram House Bed & Breakfast

Jane and Adrian are wonderful, attentive and friendly hosts! The room was very comfortable, with excellent quality bedding. Jane’s culinary skills far exceed most b & bs we have stayed at. Breakfasts and evening meals were delicious, using local produce. We decided to follow Jane’s advice and book an Ingram Farm Safari trip. We are so pleased that we did, it was an experience of a lifetime! We can’t wait to return to Ingram House.

We were only here one night but enjoyed our stay in this remote home. Our room was the one with the bathroom down the corridor (of which we were aware before our arrival, so no problem). The room was furnished in keeping with the house and the bed was comfortable and warm. There was an excellent choice for breakfast with homemade preserves. Jane gave us a warm welcome and booked us a table at a local pub for dinner. Her husband took good care of us in the morning as Jane was on "Granny duty" down in Surrey. I can recommend staying here for the natural feel of the area. The house itself is in a large garden and is surrounded by countryside. It is slightly off the beaten track so transport is essential.

Absolutely loved it. Yes it is in the middle of no where but what a gem!! Also the road leading in is perfectly fine it is not a dirt track but a well maintained road better than some main roads! Our hosts were very welcoming and my husband sat and had a chit chat with Janes husband [so sorry didn’t catch his name] the garden was wonderful so tranquil and the breakfast the following morning was one of the best I’ve ever had so fresh and very tasty. Just to clarify Alnwick is bigger than you think so don’t be put off that it is not in the middle of the town.

Wonderfully comfortable. Made incredibly welcome by our hosts. What a lovely evening meal. So interesting to talk to them both, discussing the pictures and medals. Thank you for the candle on the cake. My wife enjoyed her birthday. The 4 wheel drive safari was the icing on the 2 day break

We loved our stay at Ingram house. The place is lovely and the surroundings absolutely beautiful. Jane and Adrian are wonderful, and Jane’s breakfasts and dinners were fabulous. They were extremely flexible when there was a snafu in payment. We will be back for sure!

Oh my goodness, our room (The Garden room) was thick with dust. You could literally write your name on the TV, side tables, mirrors, etc it was really quite shocking particularly in these Covid times when most hosts are busy deep cleaning rooms between guests stays. There were dead flies all over the window cills, thick cobwebs around, it was unbelievable. Talking of Covid, we actually had Covid (unbeknown to us when we left home) whilst we were there and ended up leaving a day early as we felt so ill so God help whoever got that room after us because it's highly unlikely to have been cleaned properly. Very poor show….

i was disappointed by the late check- in 5pm and the location of the property in the middle of nowhere. There was also a notice requesting people not to stay int he property from 10am to 4pm - which we found really odd . The property itself was lovely and quaint , but be carful the description as it says it is a private bathroom , bit it is not en-sutie so Im not sure what is meant by that ?
