We stopped at this hotel because we had an overnight connection at Dallas. The staff was very welcoming. However, we had issues with the room. The door locks are very old and we checked in at 10 PM and shortly after left our room to go back outside when we returned a few minutes later, the door would not open. We tried new room keys and it still wouldn’t open. The maintenance staff came to help and they couldn’t open it either. It took about an hour and a half before they could finally get the door open. Needless to say it was frustrating since we had an early flight And just wanted to get back into our things. Staff was nice and gave us another room but until we got our things it wasn’t very helpful. I would like though to shout out to Jasmine at the desk and DeAndre and Derek who finally got the door open for us After using a special tool, but it didn’t appear that this is the first time it has happened there. The management really needs to update the locks on top of it inside our room. It looked like somebody threw coffee against the wall in the bathroom as it was dripping everywhere And dried on with no attempt to clean it off. I am a Marriot member and have stayed many times with this chain. However, our stay was very disappointing. Had it not been for the helpful staff my review would have been one star.
