Hotel Posada del Mar

The hotel is in a prime location. Rooms are relatively old but overall good value for money

I had a wonderful time. Awesome location next to North Beach and walkable from the ferry station. Friendly service, and I felt safe. Room was spacious and clean, with a balcony, though I do wish there was a fridge. I would stay here again if I return to Isla Mujeres.

Liked the pool, bar, restaurant. Not enough pool chairs sometimes, for the number of patrons at the hotel. Live music was a nice addition this year to the Pinguinos Bar beside the pool, with a different act performing daily. The rooms in the old wing of the hotel are very run-down, tired and sad-looking. That side of the hotel needs a renovation, but the rooms were much cheaper there, so we booked that side. If I had known there was no fridge in the room, I would have booked another hotel, though.

The property is a cute rustic style hotel that made me think of when I used to stay at my grandmother's house in Mexico. Breakfast is very good as well.

Fantastic location! Clean and comfortable rooms although the beds are hard. Plush large towels were a nice surprise! A/C worked great and we LOVED the pool and Romy's bar. Would definitely stay here again. If you are traveling with a friend, keep in mind some rooms have showers with glass panels between the shower and room and open on top so not good for those that need more privacy!

I have been staying at this property for approximately 20 years And then those 20 years I have seen management make zero improvements in the infrastructure Recently, I stayed at this property because it was a last-minute booking that was available, and it was affordable as always However, will tell you this my room was the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in not to gross you out, but my toilet looked like it had never been cleaned My room is not made up for three days and I contacted Maid directly and she said she would make it up Unfortunately, she threw some new towels on the counter in the bathroom, picked up the old towels and did not clean anything in the room even though I tipped her before she cleaned All I want to say, is this people that give this hotel a review above a six are either bots or not being sincere or they don’t know better it’s a great location and if that’s all important to you stay here otherwise spend the extra money and stay at another hotel on Isla

This place is not perfect , but air conditioning worked well, check in and out was easy, convenient location, live music by the pool. Overall, a great 3 day trip with my two kids.

Unfortunately I did except a bit more for the price.. First the beach is right across and restaurants area all around it. The pool was not very clean. No hot tub or jacuzzi. No ice maker., no microwave or mini fridge. Only in the larger rooms, with a high price tag... The room service only tidy up the restroom and redid the bed. Floors still dirty.? Hope it helps. Won't be coming back unfortunately to this place.

Great low cost hotel across from the beach. Walking distance to playa Norte and many restaurants and local food stands.
