Maywood Hotel

The hotel is in very centre in Istanbul, close to port where starts sea transport. Around the hotel there are restaurants, shops, park Gulhane. You can visit every place from there. The hotel room is clean and big. You have bath cosmetics and everything that you need. The staff is kind and try to help. The breakfast is Turkish style but if you don’t like it you can eat eggs, cheese, salami, olives. I recommend this hotel and if I back in the city I will stay there again.

Our room was smaller than I had anticipated , with 2 small single beds even though we had booked a double. However it was clean and beds comfy and it had a safe and a fridge and the shower room had toiletries provided and we only had 2 nights here . Location fine for sightseeing in Istanbul. Breakfast was okay , - a buffet of Turkish foods but lack of western foods but at least I got cereal . Restaurant staff were struggling to get tables cleared and reset for the amount of people awaiting breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and it has always been my favorite. This time was the first after the renovation that took place and as always it did not disappoint me. The location is excellent and although it is in the center of the old city, but also very close to all major attractions, it is quiet and above all safe. The rooms have been modernized, although the old furniture was equally excellent, and the soundproofing is very good. The staff is very kind (especially Ahmet and Alex), always with a smile and willing to help you with anything you need. Equally excellent and improved is the breakfast with a wide variety of cold and hot options, where there is now a very useful automatic coffee machine with a variety of 8 types of coffee, chocolate etc. The only thing that I would say was missing from the room, although it is relatively minor, was that although there is a water kettle in the room there were no tea, coffee and sugar sachets as there were in the past and as there are in all the corresponding hotels around the world. We stayed 4 nights from 29.2. 2024. The hotel was very well organized and very comfortable the price was very affordable. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and very attentive and very professional and trustworthy we really appreciated how easy it was to communicate The room is fabulous it design is modern the bed very comfortable. Staff kept room it very clean and respected our privacy when requested they where very attentive and proactive very nice climate control in room very comfortable feeling The location we felt safe walking around even at night The lobby has a nice seating area to hang out very comfortable Perfect breakfast served free in morning If you want a safe, modern, comfortable stay at a very affordable price and Great Customer Service then I recommend May wood Hotel in Old Town Istanbul we will definitely return!! Stayed here at the start and end of a tour of Turkey. Good hotel based in the centre, so near to all sites, shops, restaurants, water front, rail station etc. Rooms quite small, but perfectly ok for a few nights stay. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

Great hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were spacious, beds were extremely comfortable, bathroom was clean & the breakfast was top notch. In addition the location is perfect, central to everything.

The team at the hotel was incredible. There wasn't a single thing we asked for that was not done. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, great selection for breakfast....and so much more.. There's no designated parking but a secure public car park is just over 100m away and it wasn't a problem at all.
