Istanbul In Hotel - Sultanahmet(İstanbul İn Hotel - Sultanahmet)

Had such a bad experience at Avecenna hotel istanbul. No customer service from manager on duty (Elif)and reception staff ( serhab tall guy curly hair). Rooms not cleaned properly when I took look u der the bed as I dropped something the dust was so thick I could see they have not swept under bed for months Secondly when I called them to advise our room was not cleaned properly and no toilet paper, bathroom toiletries, water for kettle and tea and coffee not replenished, you wait more than an hour. The reception told me one night when I called to ask for extra toilet paper that they too need to sleep yet tge reception is a 24/7 operating area They changed our room because of a leak, which is understood, yet no apology at all The best of the staff was a Yusuf and the breakfast team ( Tuegai, Serhat, furkaan, baki and Ozgur) they received the breakfast guest with a huge smile and at least asked every morning how the guests were doing On the last day of departure, the reception guy Sarhab ( tall guy with curly hair) argued with me loud about 64 lira because of the water we used in fridge and the reason is because they did not give us water for the kettle in 3 days and I had used the water for the kettle to make tea/ coffee This guy argued so loud in front of others and said he would now have to pay, yet the same bottle of water costs 3 lira (500 ml) outside the hotel The shower is dirty and grimy, you can see it has not been cleaned for months Online this hotel is rated 4 star yet with our experience it is definitely not so, it is a 2 star We stayed 8 whole nights and I’ve decided I would never stay in this hotel again, they don’t change the bedding when new guests arrive. Inside the kettle in the room was so so filthy it was not usable to make tea or coffee. I showed this to the manager Elif and she got a fright and did not want me to put the kettle in her desk Please think twice about using this hotel, tge pics online is deceiving not much of a sea view, it’s overlooking dilapidated buildings and the balcony never gets swept I decided to put pen to paper as we as tourists pay slot of money for accommodation and get treated so badly Never again Avicenna will you see me again Sultanahmet is a very good place to stay as it is close to the blue mosque and Hagia Soofia mosque, also close to grand bazaar but so many other hotels to choose from
