We would stay again. Over all we were happy with our stay. The restaurant had good food as well.

After a 12-hour drive, we arrived to find our room door open and dirty towels around the hot tub. The hotel was fully booked, so no room change was possible. Our first-floor room was below the lobby, with loud water running outside all night. To top it off, from 3 a.m. onwards, we heard constant footsteps above, like we were under a kitchen. We barely slept and now have another long drive ahead. Awful experience.

Great place about 5 miles from the hustle an d bustle of Ashland. In room hot tub with a real fireplace and complimentary wood. Two recliners and comfy beds. Excellent dinner. Fried zucchini app. Prime Rib and Halibut with veggies. Our server, Forrest, was awesome! Really good entertainment by singer songwriter John. Plays a good guitar and harp. Complimentary continental breakfast was also good. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

We have spent nights here for the last 15 years off and every several years or so. It was always delightful, good amenities, service, etc. HOWEVER, in 2022 new ownership took over, and we visited during August, 2024. It is terrible in every way… everything is broken and run down. The service is grossly understaffed and the staff is not knowledgeable and don’t seem to care. They have run out of everything. The hot breakfast has changed to a continental buffet breakfast, and nothing is offered, no fruit, only sugar coated cereal, and ran out of coffee, orange juice, bread, etc. on all 3 mornings. The room has the large shower dispensers, and there were two conditioners and no shampoo. The rooms were dirty and there was no daily housekeeping. The place has turned into a dump - I will be surprised if they are still in business by the end of the year. We are never coming back.

We were on a drive from Washington to SoCal and needed a pet-friendly hotel to stay the night. Callahan's was highly rated online, so we were optimistic. The location is beautiful and the (sparse) staff is friendly, but the lodge shows MANY signs of wear. PROS: - The bed was exceptionally comfortable - The patio was a very peaceful place to sit and relax - The staff was kind - The grounds have lots of places to stroll, sit and walk doggos CONS: - The carpet was pretty filthy - The room smelled musty - The bathroom and in-room jacuzzi looked grimy and worn. - The "Fitness Center" had old, rusty, broken down equipment - There was hardly any food in the display cases for the continential breakfast when I stopped by at 9. Callahan's Mountain Lodge served its purpose on our long drive, but I would not have enjoyed staying there any longer than we did

We had a terrible experience when we were last there! The shower pipes were broken inside the wall and flooded the bathroom. I tried to take a shower and had to get out! There was no effort to make amends! Won’t return inspite of previous visits

Really dirty and smelly. It was as if all the fireplaces were still a-blaze from the winter. Soot-y smell, truly dirty carpets, mold in showers. Recliner was stained - in many locations - and broken. Breakfast was literally the worst I have ever had - just assorted, store-bought carbohydrates- no eggs! no fruit! I was shocked, given that they have a full kitchen on site. The silverware was dirty (as again, were the carpets) in the restaurant. Unpalatable. I'm assuming the place has seen better times.

very unclear about the positive reviews here. One of the most disappointing stays I've ever had: the doors to the closet were broken, the drain was clogged, the balcony is shared with another room, "breakfast" is pre-wrapped muffins and cereal or instant oatmeal (no fruit - not even a banana - no eggs, no potatoes, no ham). Most cringe, however, was that every single carpet and piece of upholstery was absolutely filthy. I wore flip flops even to use the bathroom in our room and covered the recliners with the spare sheets (one of which was broken). Restaurant was lackluster - BLT, grilled cheese, and pasta. view was nothing and the freeway was right next to the property, so that's what you heard. If you stayed in winter, the fireplace and jacuzzi must be nice, but for summer, the place just smelled smokey and other varieties of unpleasant funk.

My wife and I stayed at the lodge to just get away from life for the week. We arrived on a Tuesday and I made reservations the Thursday before. I called and talked to “Suzy” about the possibility of getting flowers in my room. She said sure, but also, I asked if I priority mailed a letter, if it could be put in there as well. She said “no problem!, as long as we get it on time!” She was beyond helpful and so kind! I know, as she says: “it’s no problem! It’s my job!” But she went above and beyond. She confirmed with me that they received the letter and that it was being put in the room the day of our arrival. My wife loved it and was super surprised that a letter was there in anticipation of our arrival. The stay was great. Staff members were SO kind! “Danielle” in the restaurant was also AMAZING! I’m HOH and she picked up quickly that I struggle to understand speech. She must have someone in her family who is HOH because she articulated and made sure to look at me when speaking. She was just so thoughtful, kind, and I enjoyed our conversations at the bar. We intended on leaving Saturday, but when we woke up…there was snow…like 6” and still snowing hard… in May😂…My wife and I decided to see about extending our stay, just to be safe…(couldn’t pass up an excuse to not go back to reality for another day) We were in the King deluxe suit. Suzy was working that morning and said we could extend our stay and she could see if there was any way to move people so we didn’t have to move rooms. It was SO thoughtful, but we didn’t mind moving so someone could have the room they were expecting. We got a room upstairs for the night. We didn’t eat in the restaurant much due to food restrictions, BUT my wife had the grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup as well as the weekend Prime rib. She said both were great! Thank you Suzy and Danielle for making our stay amazing.
