We are Joyce & Eric, an retired couple moved from Hong Kong to Shaxi historical village. Shaxi has conserved its unique cultural heritage from ancient china. It is well known for it’s beautiful landscape, the ethnic diversity and it’s peacefulness. Many visitors are attracted to this beautiful village and would stay for months to paint, take photos and hike. We used to travel around the world and we understand how important it is to stay in a warm, clean, convenience and welcoming place to make your journey more comfortable and memorable. Miss May Hotel was transformed from a traditional house built by the Bai family. We preserved the unique style of this historic house with a touch of modern amenities. Our hotel is located right in the heart of the Shaxi marketplace. Highly reconmmend Miss May Hostel in Shaxi. So well managed and maintained in all aspects and details that leaves no spot for improvements. The hostel deserves particularly mentioning of its cleanness here, there and everywhere, and Dove brand shampoo and shower gels in bathroom that I have used to at home all these years ... definately I will come here soon with my family and friends. Perfect!

Excellent stay. The hostel is sooo beautiful and equipped with everything you need. The location is convenient to visit every checkin points in Shaxi. The hostel owner is really nice and support us a lot during our stay. She could speak English so it's much more easier to communicate if you're a foreigner.

The hotel is located in the old town, fully equipped, the hotel grounds are filled with flowers, especially the rose arrangement in front of the door that makes you just want to take pictures all day with it. The hotel owner was very nice, she helped me book a taxi to Lijiang, and changed money for me when I was short on cash. What I really like about this hotel is that there is a heated bed, my night sleep is good because it is very warm. Cute little Shaxi, cute hotel, cute landlady, that's all I felt when I came to this place.

As soon as I arrived, I felt I was a family member of the friendly and joyful owner couple. They went beyond almost any other hotel I have traveled to, to make my trip to Shaxi the best possible, arranging trips, walking me to destinations, cooking free meals for me, and explaining the local culture so I had more awareness of the beauty that is Shaxi and the Bai people. They did all of this as if it was the most joyful thing they could possibly did with their time, not out of obligation or responsibility. The room was so tastefully decorated, and the garden of abundant flowers and plants and lounge area, all made for a heavenly experience

緣份將我們帶到五月念，有幸入住，她的美是始料不及的！！民宿主人為一對香港退休的夫婦，夫妻倆用心經營，欣賞他們把最好的給予客人。

Miss May 五月念，遇見皆是緣/:heart非常完美的一家客棧
位置非常方便，車子停在北寨門步行八十米就到了。老阪和老闆娘也很熱情歡迎我們。房間佈置非常時尚且很有品味，床墊枕頭非常舒適。因為當天到的時候下小雨，凍着我哆哆嗦嗦，房間裏有電暖氣（可能是品質高的，完全不覺得屋裡乾和燥熱）和電熱毯，馬桶也是全自動的。院子也種滿了花花和多肉植物，二樓休閑區拍照非常出片！因為工作需要先離開沙溪了，給爸媽又續了四天，他們跟老闆老闆娘很談得來。未來的某一天，我一定會再回到這裏，住上一段時間，享受沙溪的美好，享受 Miss May 的温暖/:heart哦對了，衞生非常好，對於一個有潔癖的人來説，衞生太重要了。

是因為網紅薔薇花牆把我吸引了決定住這家客棧。老闆是一對香港退休夫婦，人很nice。客棧實在太好拍了，門外每時每刻都有很多人在拍照，想靜靜是沒可能的了。
