Hotel Grand Royal

This family hotel was a very nice stay. The welcome was friendly and they prepared a meal for us although they fire say the restaurant was closed. The shashlik were excellent. The room was clean and agréable. The comfort was ok, with a bed on the firm side. Surprisingly, we have slept with no A/C, with just the window open; in the afternoon, the temperature was around 40C … but the best equipment of the hotel is the pool: an incredible pleasure after a day riding our motorcycle!

Rooms are clean and spacious. The receptionist is a very pleasant and helpful lady. - За пафосной роскошью первого впечатления вскоре становится видна обветшалость в номерах: потертая мебель, плохо открывающийся холодильник, не работающие прикроватные лампы. Матрасы жестковатые, как почти везде в Узбекистане. Завтрак скромный, приносят всего по чуть-чуть, кто первый взял, остальным не досталось. Миндаль в шелухе вообще не чистится, хоть бы щипцы какие-то давали что ли. After the first impression of pretentious luxury, we soon saw the dilapidation in the room: shabby furniture, a poorly opening refrigerator, bedside lamps that dont work. Mattresses are a little hard, as almost everywhere in Uzbekistan. Breakfast is modest, they bring just a bit: only who comes first - get it, the others dont get it. Almonds in the husk are impossible to unshell at all, they aparently should provide any special tools to do it.
