Davinci Suites

After a wonderful three weeks of safariing in African, we finished up in Johannesburg before heading home. We stayed at the Davinci Hotel for 2 nights and it was an excellent stay. The hotel has luxurious room and a friendly staff, and we also availed ourselves of the spa for a 90 minute couples massage (excellent!). The location is great - connected to both Nelson Mandela Square which has lots of good restaurants, and to Sandton City Mall, with plenty of shops if you are in the shopping mood. There is even a shuttle that takes you to one of the Hop Off and Hop On red buses if you want to do a tour of the city. We took the tour and it was a good introduction to Johannesburg, but we wished we had down the Soweto extension. All in all, a very good stay!

We stayed 3 nights at the DaVinci on Mandela Square. To our surprise the hotel was much more upscale than we had anticipated. The room was good size, very clean with free bottled water and a really comfortable bed. There is a restaurant onsite which we enjoyed a buffet breakfast each morning. Every staff member we came into contact with were outstanding. The hotel is in the middle of Mandela Square which has 2 large shopping malls and a number of good restaurants on site. The courtyard area at night is lit up and all of the restaurants have indoor and outdoor seating. There was lots of security present and always felt very safe. We would definitely stay at the DaVinci again

The Davinci hotel and suites is in a amazing location, very convenient and safe. Being attached to the shopping mall, we were able to walk around to the Sandton city mall without taking a cab or going out. Also had easy access to the numerous restaurants, shops and to visit Nelson Mandela square . It was a great luxury to be right at the Sandton city mall, which I believe is the largest mall in Johannesburg. The Room/suites are well appointed, clean, comfortable beds and quite complimented by excellent service. Breakfast is served at the restaurant below with a large selection and beautiful ambiance. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was second to none. The hotel concierge is very resourceful and friendly from arranging tours to provide assistance for any request in Johannesburg. What I really liked about this hotel is the interior Décor. All the interior in only Black and white, but every floor and everyone area is different and unique. This is definitely a designer’s delight. We stayed in a suite and felt truly spoilt, good choice of food, security and comfort, a lovely experience. We also truly appreciate the complimentary wine and the invitation by the manager since it was three weeks stay for one of us. Highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our stay in one of the DaVinci suites. If I have chance to visit Joburg will come again.

Luxury hotel… we were there for 2 days… they have 2 breakfast menue; cold that is buffet and warm you can ordere..the hotel is in a goof location; there is a connection with elevator from hotel to one of the best shopping mall and that makes easy for us…rooms were good; i like it…

Hotel is in a great location for seeing Johannesburg. The hotel was very clean, staff were very professional and friendly. Breakfast was included in our room rate; it was the best breakfast buffet/al a carte breakfast I have had and I've stayed in a lot of high-end hotels.

Amazing location in the heart of Sandton just next to Mandela square, very convenient , steps away from Sandton city mall.
