We stayed here for one night passing through Kalk Bay. Absolutely loved the room, the position of the guest house and the service. What a great find!

Just love this place. Beautifully situated with a view of the sea. A nice garden with a pool and a lovely breakfast with lots of choices. Our room was worth the steep steps as it is in the top of the building with a nice balcony and full view of the harbour and the sea. What a treat to sleep with an open door listening to the calming sound of the sea. The host is full of good suggestions for your day and where to go. Loved it!

This is a really Good Place to stay: very friendly and helpful people, very clean House and Garden, nice Pool, ocean view, breakfast with Lots of Choice. All situated in nice Kalk Bay - a busy but still cute place. You have Only 5 minutes walking time to Cafés and Shops. First we were unsure about parking on the side of the road. But it is a quite street and everything was Fine. We enjoyed the Garden and the Terrace very much. You can have a Cappuccino, Hot choclate or tea all day at the reception. Our Rooms were simple, but we missed nothing.

Wonderful 2 bed guesthouse. Had all the amenities you need and a wonderful location. Staff were amazing as were the breakfasts!

Lovely place close to everything, peaceful and relaxing. Helpful staff, beautiful environment. I would definitely stay again. Safe, breezy, clean and refreshing! Well organized and thoughtful amenities.

Our stay was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the room very pleasant. Sadly it was too overcast to use the swimming pool. The breakfast we had on our last day was delicious, as was the coffee. We would definitely stay with here again. The location is perfect. There are some nice bars and restaurants in easy walking distance.

Had a fabulous stay at Chartfield. Our room was fabulous - simply furnished but comfortable and stylish. Views were amazing. Oh, and the breakfasts were awesome! The staff were all lovely - with special mention for Ruby who was brilliant (attentive without being overly so and friendly). I very much hope to come back!

Recommended by another local hotel and don’t disappoint. Nice small garden for a spot of sunbathing, great breakfast & lovely views from the room. Could hear the sea at night…very restful. Lovely shops and restaurants a short walk away. Felt very safe at all times.

We have stayed at Chartfield many times and will keep coming back, the service, staff and legendary breakfast are outstanding! We booked to see Wild (fantastic) at the Kalk Bay Theatre and managed to get a cancellation at Chartfield so we could walk back to the guesthouse after the show and not drive home. Would definitely do this again - such fun!
