Hotel Spa Montana

Hotel staff are extremely rude, it seems as they they only want your money. No help, wrong information, the worst hotel in Greece we have stayed! I’m not sure how they are 5 stars more like 1 star……..

Montana when it opened in the '90s, became an instant hit, as it was one of the few winter resorts in Greece, providing unique services, at the time. Now, although dated and kind of worn, it retains its charm. We had the chance to visit it on a school excursion in autumn, with the hotel almost completely occupied by our group. Despite the challenging conditions, the hotel staff was, in all circumstances, attentive, polite and eager to assist and the hotel comfortable enough to host us, with spacious, welcoming and charmingly old-fashioned public areas. The indoor pool is worth a visit and the playground managed to keep the kids busy -at least for a while. The rooms, however, show their age, from the uncomfortable beds to the gloomy furniture and carpets. On the bright side, the bathrooms were in good shape, as they had been renovated in a conservative but elegant way. The breakfast was hearty, comprising all the standard options and a few local specialties. We had also the chance to have buffet lunch and dinner, which, despite the broad options, were rather average and easily forgotten. Overall, it was a smooth stay, considering the special conditions. But surely the hotel needs an extensive renovation to stand up to its reputation and become, once more, a point of reference in one of the most exciting and intriguing mountain areas in Greece.

The hotel is very bad.It is suppose to a 5 star hotel but actually is a 1 star hotel.All the hotel is terrible designed. The meals (brekfast,lunch and dining) were very poor. The room has 2 floor but the stair had not railings. I have travel a lot all over the world this was the worst hotel I have ever been to. A dig disappointment

I stayed at this hotel 7 years a go and i remembered it being very nice so i decided to book it again. It was a disgrace, not sure where it gets its stars from and from who? Service was terrible no menus in the restaurant - no staff in the restaurant- rooms had a terrible smell-someone crisps in my bedsheets. It was just very bad. It reminded me of an old ******* manor. Something left vacant for years. The evening food and breakfast was average.

Very nice location, hospitable environment and good Value for service. The staff is kind and smiley. All the covid regulations are met. Most importantly we had a great family time and we recommend a stay!

We went for a night stay as we were on our way for summer vacations around Greece. Our experience was really bad. The air condition of our room didn’t work and it was very hot and even though we contacted the reception to change the room they didn’t. There was a ceiling fan but it was noisy and didn’t do much for the summer heat. The food was basic and average and the breakfast very poor. The swimming pool was not working, they told us there was a problem also there. The small playground for children was also out of order. The hotel itself is old, needs lots of restoration and improvements. Maybe when it was opened 30 years ago it was a 5 star hotel but now it is not even 1 star for what it offers. It seems abandoned and in a bad shape. Very expensive stay and really bad experience. I travel a lot inside and outside Greece and this was one of my worst experiences.

Δυστυχώς βρεθήκαμε την οικογένεια μου , ταξιδεύουμε 7ωρες για να φτάσουμε , το δωμάτιο τραγικό , βρώμικο , αράχνες, ιστούς, σκαθάρια μέσα και έξω , βρώμικα σκεπάσματα , βρώμικο κάθισμα καρέκλας , γύρω μας αράχνες, δεξιά αριστερά παντού. Πεταμένα σκουπίδια πίσω από το κρεβάτι με ιστούς, μέχρι ρούχα είχε πεταμένα πίσω από το κρεβάτι, πισίνα θόλο βρώμικο νερό , επειδή βράδιασε, ανυπομονώ να ξημερώσει να φύγουμε.

Ξεκινήσαμε πολύ στραβά! Μας έβαλαν σε ένα δωμάτιο ισόγειο που αντί να βλέπει το ωραίο ελατόδασος έβλεπε έναν τοίχο. Το δωμάτιο μύριζε μούχλα. Μία μοκέτα πολυκαιρισμένη, μία τηλεόραση του 90 ίσα που έπαιζε γεμάτη χιόνια. Και το τραγικότερο όλων το κρεβάτι που νόμιζες ότι ξάπλωνες σε τάβλες. Μετά από έντονα παράπονα του συζύγου μου μας δώθηκε ένα πολύ ωραίο δωμάτιο, με πολύ ωραία θέα αλλά ήταν αδύνατον να κοιμηθείς σε αυτό το κρεβάτι και επίσης το πάπλωμα δεν είχε παπλοματοθήκη. Να υποθέσω ότι το πάπλωμα το αλλάζουν κάθε φορά? Ανεπαρκές δυστυχώς.

Κλεισαμε για το τριημερο τις 25ης Μαρτιου καθως ηταν πολλα υποσχομενο για το παιδι μας… παμε καθε χρονο και πραγματικα μετανιωσαμε που φετος αποφασισαμε να μεινουμε σε αυτο το ξενοδοχειο! Δεν θα το ελεγα βρωμικο, ομως δεν ηταν κι αυτο που λες ντρεπομαι να πατησω! Η μοκετα στα δωματια οπως και στις αιθουσες δεν θελω να ξερω απο ποτε ηταν… στο δωματιο μας δεν μπηκε ποτε σκουπα οσες μερες μειναμε εκει! Πρωινο και βραδινο… ασχολιαστο! Πολυ κλασσικο, χωρις επιλογες και μετρια ποιοτητα.. αγενης οι σερβιτοροι για να ξεναγεμισουν τα φαγητα σε εσπρωχναν λες και ησουν αντικειμενο! Παιδοτοπο δεν θα ελεγα οτι εχει εαν εξαιρεσεις κατι ξεχαρβαλωμενα παιχνιδια κι ενε φουσκωτο για να ανεβουν απειρα παιδια! Ιντερνετ ουτε κατα διανοια.. wifi πουθενα στα δωματια! Μαξιλαρια απαραδεκτα, οπως και το μπανιο γεματο μουχλα και να φευγουν τα πλαισια της βρυσης ενω ηταν προχειρα κολλημενα με σιλικονη… πιστολακι δεν υπαρχει, εκτος εαν θεωρειται αυτος ο φυσητηρας που δεν βγαζει καν ζεστο αερα! Δεν θα σχολιασω την τηλεοραση που ειναι εκεινη η τεραστια προ 20ετιας!Εσωτερικη πισινα θερμαινομενη… δεν θα το ελεγα! Δεν ηταν καν χλιαρη , μπηκαμε με χαρα αλλα μας κοπηκε αποτομα απο την θερμοκρασια! Οι πετσετες που σου δινουν σκισμενες και νομιζω εαν σου εδιναν πατσαβουροπανο θα ηταν καλυτερο! Τα δυο αστερια πανε στο μεγαλο δωματιο και στην θεα απο το lobby γιατι το δωματιο δεν ειχε! Δεν θα το προτεινα καθως η περιοχη εχει υπεροχα καταλυματα και ξενωνες!
