The city of Kashid is one of the main beach towns present in northern Konkan close to Arabian Sea. Kashid is situated thirty kilometers from famous tourist spot Alibag and one hundred thirty five kilometers from Mumbai on Murud-Alibag road. The city came into limelight because of the white sand beaches green mountains blue seas rivers and the paddy fields. The three kilometer stretch of beach that lies between rocky hillocks on either sides and a spread of Casuarina grooves covering the whole of seashore makes the place special for tourists and it is now a frequented tourist destination with several hotels in Kashid to select from.
