Room not cleaned, lie wires hanging out wall, cracked walls, mould in bathroom, lose shower screen, not rainfall shower but old one that’s goes cold after 1 min, greasy on extractor rather then being cleaned, told then pans where not clean so they toke away and said you can’t used then when the add said you could, building works, view from room now building site not green land

Just returned from the Ekati Mare after a 7 nights stay this was booked as part of a 50th birthday celebration with first choice the fact it was a 4* hotel on the outskirts of Kavos and is clearly advertised as being recently refurbished for 2024 was what attracted us to book this hotel. Now the bad points- on arrival we checked and was led to our accommodation. Which was not located on the resort but a short walk up a busy road I say road as there is no paths and you are walking in the road usually on the outside of parked cars very dangerous and not ideal especially when you consider we had booked a family room. When we entered the room I cannot describe the disappointment as this was far from being a 4* accommodation these are meant to be 1 bedroom apartments with lounge area these are 1 triple room with the remnants of a kitchenette that has partly been removed to fit a secondary sofa in opposite the bathroom, no blinds over the window so sun breaks through at 6am and the poor occupant is either listening to the fridge all night or being disturbed by people using the bathroom also air-con is definitely not felt in this part of the room. These are definitely not catered for 4 persons only had bedding for 3, 3 mugs, balconies only have 3 chairs. We also found that the bathroom wall was black with Mould and the room looked very tired and shabby handles falling off cupboards damaged woodwork, I’d suggest these are 2* accommodation at best. What rubs it in even more the main resort is very nice and your treated like a second class citizen thrown in the forgotten rooms. We requested room change due to the mould and health conditions asthmatic family members which was refused on the grounds it could not be accommodated. Found reception staff very unhelpful as well as the TUI rep who was on site at the time of my complaint who was very rude and completely not interested at all. Good points breakfast and evening meals was adequate not brilliant but what I’d expect and certainly no complaints from us there, always plenty of choice and clean. staff in the restaurant are amazing so friendly and helpful too. Pool area always tidy and well maintained pool for a resort of 118 rooms is very small though approx 6m x 20m and does get over crowded very easily also always warm. Never had issues getting sunbeds though. Pool bar is clean and modern offers good choice of food and drink however I found them quite pricey and with in a 5/10 minute walk you can eat out at lunch far cheaper, adverage dish price at the pool bar was €12-14 per meal, €5 for a beer, €10 cocktails. On another note there is signage around the pool clearly advising only food and drink purchased at the pool can be consumed trust me this only applies to certain people we had taken our own water and was pulled up about it yet there was individuals drinking cans of beer soft drinks and they were never challenged. Visited Ekati Mare with my fiancé, we stayed at a premium double room that we found very comforting and relaxing, the room was kept very clean everyday by the cleaners. The staff there were very friendly and helpful and they were always there for us. The food on the all day menu had quiet the variety and we tried almost everything, it was very tasty and the quality was 5/5. The pool bar offered a variety of cocktails ready to try them all. To conclude it was a fun and relaxing vacation and we definitely would visit again.

I don't normally write a review but we visited this hotel on the18th Oct '24 for a week. The hotel was clean BUT the food was by and large a disappointment because it was cold due to the fact that tealights were used to keep the food warm. The salad bar had no fly meshes over its food so there were flies coming off the food when I approached - hardly appetising!! I am surprized by the number of positive reviews I have read for November because when we were leaving on the 25th Oct, there was no draught beer left and the staff told us they were preparing to close for the season and a number of them were returning home to their families the following week. Were these guests alone in the hotel? The staff by the way were very polite and friendly. Nearly all of the Cavos resort had shut down by the time we arrived on the 18th with only about five bars/restraunts remaining open, by the time we left, there were only three left open. The hotel was very busy at this time but every guest we spoke to was angry with their tour company for bring them to what was essentially a ghost town. Yes the hotel was on the edge of town but there was very very little happening in the evening. So if you are going to Cavos and want a bit of evening entertainment, you should go earlier in the year and certainly not mid October or later.

Let me start by saying that Ekati Mare Boutique Resort is more than just a hotel—it’s an experience! We stayed for week, & it was pure bliss. The room was stunning, with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. Every detail, from the plush towels to the complimentary bottle of local wine, was thoughtfully planned. The staff was exceptional kind, professional, & always ready to help. We rented bikes through the resort and explored Kavos, which was so much fun. The restaurant served the most exquisite Greek dishes; the seafood platter was to die for. I also loved their eco-friendly initiatives, like reusable toiletries and energy-saving practices.
