Stayed here during our trip to Ireland, read all the reviews before booking and was very excited to stay here. My experience was the opposite. The staff was great, minus one who later said she was the manager ruined the whole stay for us all. She was so rude and dismissive. When we checked in, It was hard to understand her. She gave us no direction to our room, we walked around aimlessly to find our room which was on the second floor. When we came down for food, we passed her in the hallway on the phone and then we proceeded to wait for her to finish talking on the phone for five minutes before we were finally sat and given menus, “sit down, i come”. Very rude. Asked for drinks, never got them. We ordered chicken pizza, and we got a chicken sandwich. And when I asked for sides that was supposed to come with my dish, she said “I bring” and once again never came while she walked around talking on the phone. As we sat down to eat I realised quickly it wasn’t just me and my partner receiving this treatment, We watched as she was even ruder to other customers and as she talked a different language ignoring them and later us when we asked for our bill. Overall, The only saving grace for the rest of the weekend was the other staff. And a Lovely lady Marion who I believe is the Owner of the establishment who spent so much of her own free time recommending places for us to go and see around kerry, And being so genuinely interested in our journey so far. Trip planned again to Kenmare during June for a breakaway, will not be staying here.

Our room was adequate, comfy bed, quiet at night, good size bathroom, spotless clean, lovely friendly staff, warm with radiator you can turn down or off, dinner was delicious, amazing veg curry,lovely atmosphere in bar, breakfast was a bowl of porridge with honey (my choice)full Irish was on offer also, coffee good , no orange juice or homemade bread, croissants, fruit, offered.White toast was brought to table, It was nice but I felt it was limited especially as we had come from a place in Cork with a huge selection to choose from . The lady server was very nice, This was my only quip. But could be a dealbreaker for a return.

The stew was served cold, asked to heat it up, still not hot enough on return, served by a rude lady waitress, avoid at all costs, especially with so many fine establishments to choose from in the town. A disgrace, and it's so wrong that unsuspecting tourists will be subjected to this type of service this coming Summer

I had a meal here today 10/03/2024’ I got an Irish stew “ not very good ‘ it was only lukewarm “ about 1 potato “ the bowl was very small. The staff were nice” loads of empty tables compared to this time last year” sorry but I won’t. Be going back there

Stayed here last December and it was a fantastic spot The staff were excellent friendly and very helpful Food was great and an amazing breakfast highly recommend it The room was really clean and tidy There was plenty of variety

Foley‘s in convenient if you are looking to walk around Kenmare and enjoy all the town sights. But we did not like the scent our room - with clearly visible air fresheners. It was overwhelming and not enjoyable and made us wonder what scent was being covered up. Breakfast was included and our party agreed the food was abundant but not particular tasty. We would pass on a repeat visit.

Service in bar and restaurant not good. Staff continued to speak to either each other or ignored us. Food only ok, nothing to write home about. Gap in bedroom door when closed, music loud. Overall we would NOT go back there.

Paddy and his staff were wonderful!! The young man who checked us in in the evening was terrific and then terrific again as the bartender ! The singers were most enjoyable entertainment! We had a great time. The young lady who served us breakfast was very friendly and most efficient! I would stay again in a heartbeat!! Thank you for your hospitality, Colleen

5. A very nice guest house with breakfast in Kenmare. The room was clean & comfortable. We had supper in the restaurant two nights & the food was very good. The breakfasts in the mornings were great as well. Watch out for the Full Irish as it is a lot of food! We also spent an evening after dinner listening to some great Irish folk music.
