Hidden Pond Resort

Stumbled upon Hidden pond while on Instagram. I am SO glad I did. All I can say is WOW. I am in complete love with this place and before we left started planning our next stay here. We love the woodsy/camp vibes but also upscale service and accommodations. The morning pastry is such a treat!! Each day is different and always delicious. The maid service and nightly turn down service is SO nice. They even left a treat on our pillows The bath amenities were wonderful. We got bicycles and rode around which was fun. We met the grander and learned a lot. We also tasted some of the herbs in season. (We can’t want to come back later in the year to see the full garden in bloom). After an amazing dinner at Earth we rode to the s’mores pit and enjoyed a s’more There was not a single detail the staff holds back on. If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t hesitate.

My husband intended this trip to Hidden Pond to be a surprise for me—- unfortunately the staff ruined that from the start when they called our house, not asking for him, even though his was the only name on the reservation. I quickly told the woman to stop talking as she didn’t want to speak with me. Our stay was a couple of weeks ago. We were excited to go away and didn’t let that ruin the excitement. I won’t go into all the details of our comedy (not really funny) of errors. What I will say is that the intentions of this resort, what they write on the website, sounds fantastic. Sadly for us the execution and follow thru of their service did not even come close to warranting what we spent to stay there. I had hope they would learn from feedback I provided to their Head of Guest Experience. He advised last Friday that he would look into the matter and get back to me within 48hrs—-he offered that, I didn’t ask for that timeframe. So here I am one week later and he hasn’t lived up to what he promised nor has he followed up at all. Such a shame. If I do not hear soon I will convey some of experiences as they are not just minor inconveniences. The bungalow was lovely and the grounds are very nice.

Amazing gastro experience from start to finish and service (Kurt!) was outstanding. The only challenge was one course came out one right after the other. Not enough time to digest and savor and discuss the amazingness of those roasted carrots OMG. It’s possible we’re just more accustomed to the European pace of a meal. Definitely highly recommend this 💯 experience.

This place has become one of our very favorite getaway spots in New England. It is a place where you can get a sense of the outdoors/camping with the comfort and refinement of upscale accommodations and dining. I only hesitate to call it Glamping because to me that implies a level of pretentiousness that this place really does not create. It’s also unique for Maine in that there are none of the Coastal Maine tropes in design that you simply cannot get away from everywhere else. No Portholes, No Anchors, No Lobster Traps. This place is decidedly Camp and somehow manages to harken back to a better time. The Staff here is Outstanding! Corey the GM and Robin the F&B Manager have set a standard of operation I have yet to experience anywhere outside of Boston. They anre the loveliest of people annd have been flawlessly responsive to our every need. Everyone that reports to them understands the standard and executes. At reception you will meet Bridget and Shaylee and receive two of the nicest smiles and the warmest welcome you can imagine. They even arranged a tour of several unoccupied units for us so we could better plan future stays. The general staff are represented by wonderful people such as Stanley and Dino who just love to laugh and connect with people. Dino shuttled us back and forth to town and had us jamming out in the car listening to Reggae. They love to connect and make your stay special. These folks have become family friends and our family and friends look forward to seeing them all again in October!

Lovely place, setting and service. Food was top-notch, and they accommodated gluten-free. The prices are steep, but still an amazing, artful experience which was absolutely worth the cost. The chef at Earth is actually a culinary artist!

5/5 Ryann is hands down the best massage therapist who I have experienced in a while. I literally feel like I’m I’m total relaxation mode and levitating over my own body on the massage table. I get the 90 minute CBD massage and it’s divine. The spa itself is very welcoming and pretty. I have driven up for the day from Boston to have a massage and lunch at the pool. Highly highly recommend.

We just walked through the door from another amazing three night stay at Hidden Pond and I just had to sit down immediately and write a review. I honestly don’t think it could possibly have gone any better! This is one of those hidden gems that everyone hunts for and seldom finds. It is an idyllic and romantic retreat in the forest of Kennebunk that features a variety of well designed, upscale rustic cottages, a gorgeous treehouse themed spa, a lovely pool area and an Out Of This World high end restaurant called Earth. It is a super chill environment with cocktails by the fire pits and if you are looking for more to do you can hike or cruise into Kennebunkport for all it has to offer. The features are top notch but what separates this place from literally every other high end place in southern ME is the staff. Everyone is professional, polite and on top of it. We make a point of getting to know the staff everywhere we go. We return to the places we love year after year. It is obvious when there is an effective hiring and training plan in place because it drives retention of staff and consistent guest experience. We have now known Corey (Assistant GM), Robin (Food and Beverage Mgr) and Lilly (Ops Mgr) for three years. Finer people you will not meet and professionally they have created something that is so special. They have built a bullet proof team with folks like Pricilla, Amber and Bridget at the front desk, and Kurt and Grace in the dining room. This trip we were joined by friends who had never been there and they were blown away. Corey really was the star this season as he went way out of his way to arrange a guided forest experience and several other requests that required follow up and follow through. We so appreciate the extra effort. We have already booked our first stay for next year and we cannot wait to return!

Our daughter’s wedding at Hidden Pond was spectacular! A gorgeous setting, luxurious rooms, attentive and patient service and excellent food. Our guests all loved the experience and wish we could have stayed longer.

The property is absolutely beautiful and the staff is so kind. Everyone we interacted with acknowledged us and was always smiling. The cottage was perfect and had all the things you needed to be comfortable. The grounds were so beautiful and the trails were nice to explore.
