Simple request for a sandwich out of normal "Sandwich making hours" I was Initial informed that the menu was only served in the afternoon early evening although the menu clearly states its not. (Only to be told its mis leading and that's the times the restaurant service to) The Head waiter was very accommodating and suggested he would ask the chef if they could accommodate. Bingo they would great, thank you. Embarrassingly 5 minutes after ordering the head waiter had to report the head chef now refused to "Make a Sandwich". So Why? Had the incredible English temperature caused the ingredients to go off, in 5 mins ? Or the Ingredients one chef had seen had miraculously vanished when the head chef had returned? Or The Head chef's qualification does not run to making a Sandwich? Or The Head Chef put his Job's worth hat on and just said the menu is the menu? Or The head Chef just wanted and early dart. Who knows, but what is evidence is the advances in the UK hospitality industry over the past 30 years is being eroded at an incredible rate to our European counterparts. Please thank the head waiter/manager as he was as embarrassed as i was disgusted. Ps Its small beer when it comes to ££ but a bigger lost to reputation
