Situated along the garden route in Keurboomstrand, Picnic Rock offers three self-catering suites, two of which are mirrored images of each other offering two bedrooms and two bathrooms, both with direct beach access from their patios. The third unit is situated directly above these two units, offering one bedroom and splendid views of the Keurbooms beaches. Guests in groups of up to 5 guests can choose between Nor' East - which offers a patio facing towards Natures Valley, and Sou' West - which offers a patio facing towards Robberg Nature Reserve, both of which are spacious and have modern decoration. Each unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one of which is en-suite), a large open plan living-dining-kitchen area, a patio with under cover gas braai (BBQ) and direct beach access. Couples are welcome to stay in Due South, with is magnificent views capturing the best of what both Nor’ East and Sou’ West have to offer, but from above. This unit has one bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a spacious open-plan living-dining-kitchen area, a patio with under cover gas braai (BBQ) and there is also beach access downstairs from alongside the unit. Meals can be prepared in the kitchens of the apartments or with the gas barbecue facilities provided on each of the private terraces and balconies. Guests can dine at the restaurant next door, 5-minutes’ walk away. Canoeing and fishing is possible in the ocean and local attractions include Knysna Heads and Plettenberg Bay, both within a 30-minute drive from Picnic Rock Seaside Accommodation. The location of this property was amazing, with the best view in town. It was clean and well equipped. Our stay was wonderful, except for the fact that we were not advised of the building site literally on our doorstep. It was a struggle to drive in or out of the property, having to wait for diggers and trucks to move, sometimes waiting up to 20min. My husband was working during the day and the noise was terrible. Even on 01 May which was a public holiday. We thought we would get a bit of a break, but the builders carried on until after 5pm. It would have been lovely to just sit on the deck and enjoy the views, but it was best to leave and spend the day out. Very disappointing.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Picnic Rock (Due South unit). The accommodation is top notch. Due South is ideally suited for a romantic break away or for a couple who just want to enjoy life on the slow lane. To sit on that patio with the sea meters away, is my definition of paradise. The location can't be beaten any place on earth. We will be back!

Picnic Rock is definitely the place to stay in Keurboomstrand. It is by far the best place we visited on any seaside holiday. Views to die for, dolphins visiting almost every day, beautiful, well equipped and spacious apar**ent, friendly hosts and staff, you name it ! Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of crushing waves right on your doorstep, food for the soul ! Highly recommended !!

In 2022 we only were visit the beach and made the plan to stay there for some days in 2023. So, that did work out very well and we were very happy with this appartement. The place is just at the rigth spot and we had a really nice time staying there. It´s very clean and in good shape, the terrace and the view is amazing. And the restaurant next doors offers very nice food but at the same time it does not distrub the quiteness of the appartement. Weaking up and sleeping in to the sound of the ocean only is just so nice. We´ll come back for sure.

EXCELLENT located on the beach front , has all you need including dstv and WI - FI , next door to enrico restaurant , x2 bedrooms sleeps x4 we are a family of x3 , open plan great views waking up with the roar of the sea , just bring your own food and drinks as its situated in keurboomstrand just outside of plettenberg bay

Picnic Rock is certainly located above the beach, just above the beach. The balcony and the unit itself could not be better placed for anyone who wants to see and the hear the sea, watch whales and dolphins and who likes beach walking. We spent a lot of time on the balcony and rightly so. We saw loads of whales, dolphins surfing the waves and plenty of massive waves pounding in from the sea. The unit itself was big with plenty of room for four people (we stayed in NorEast). It was clean, has a nice little kitchen and had pretty much everything we needed. It was a 15-minute drive into Plettenberg Bay, 30 minutes to the Knysna Elephant Park (the elephant walk experience was epic) and 45-minute drive to Tsitsikama National Park. Overall it was a nice place to stay, and it is right on the beach (Although a massive storm when we were there has changed to look and geography of the beach a bit). This would not be an honest review without a mention of the current building work. To be fair to the owner they did tell us there would be building work although they did suggest the noisy bit might well be done). Unfortunately this was not quite the case and over our five days (in mid-September 2023) there they were driving piles, mixing concrete, having cement mixer deliveries, driving dumper trucks and generally there was the noise of a busy building site. Next door to the unit was, to be honest, a building site. It did have an impact on us and to avoid it we spent as much time as possible elsewhere. You may want to check on the progress of the works.

Magnificent views. Constantly hearing the ocean. Walking distance from the beach. Lovely restaurant next door. The property was also very accommodating with our 4 month old and made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed for a baby. Heaven on earth and great service!

Due south a fantastic venue, with a Incredible view for a relaxing breakaway or holiday. Will definitely be back to recharge our batteries! The accomodation is very neat with all that is necessary to make the time spent there as comfortable as possible.

We had the most comfortable and wonderful stay in that little house/apar**ent with the most gorgeous view of the sea. The ocean was right there and we spent many hours on the balcony looking at the sea and beach - saw lots of dolphins and a seal. I highly recommend Sou West for a holiday. Looking forward to going back there sometime. We had everything we wished for, and more. Thank you
