Property had character in keeping with Key West. Good location. Reasonable price for the area. Relaxing atmosphere.

We loved the Margaret Truman room, and we really enjoyed our stay at Authors. It was a nice walk to anywhere and a cheap Uber home. We will stay there again

First impressions of Williams cottage were excellent…. But the bed was terrible… squeaked on every light movement and linen of poor quality. Breakfast a disappointment….. poor interaction with staff member… he did the basic minimum

Front desk agent has horrible attitude, gave us one word answers and turned away from us before we even finished speaking. Offered us no help and attitude was so snubby. We sre paying customers, I would have expected he at least treat us with some respect.Room was small and poorly maintained, no nice restaurants near by to eat at.

The place is centrally located in the residential area. In a message from the management, the check-in hours were listed as 3 pm to 5:30 pm, but when we arrived at 5:05 pm, the office was already closed. Our room was upstairs with dangerous steep stairs. The room was clean but the bathroom had no place even for our tooth-brushes. They could have easily added a small table next to the sink. Breakfast was coffee, cereal, and tiny muffins.

This property was well maintained and the room was clean and very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and had a huge closet in the room which added to the space. The bathroom was small but accomodated us just fine. The continental breakfast had a variety of options. We stayed in a room at the front of the house so there was a lot of road noise. Also there was a wild rooster close to the house that crowed throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper, this is probably not the best accomodation for you.

Great location, friendly staff, expensive for what is provided....but that just might be Key West. This place could be a gem with some upgrades. We had a great trip!

Had a great stay! Very walkable from there. Extremely comfortable bed- would have loved to have stayed longer, but it was booked.
