Kairaba Sandy Villas - All Inclusive - Adults Only

Lovely resort. We went just at the end of the season and although there are a lot of negative points , the good things are the more memorable part for us. The staff were fantastic. Really friendly, welcoming and helpful. We wanted to tip every single one of them! As the resort is partnered with the hotel next door (just past a small car park) and it’s like a small village, you can phone for a buggy and they will pick you up and drive you where you want to go! We walked most of the time Ofcourse, but one day was raining and we had appoin**ents at the spa, so we asked for a buggy to collect us from our room. I love that. The room was beautiful, large and comfortable. We paid extra for a swim up, and were very disappointed that we were given a room that was in the shade all day, so the pool water was cold and we couldn’t sunbathe on our terrace. Had we been staying for longer than 4 nights I would’ve asked to move rooms. The mini bar is always a highlight for me. Everyday it would be filled with wine, lager, water and soft drinks. Which is something I wish all inclusive hotels everywhere would do! The food was lovely. Not quite 5 star, but still very enjoyable. A nice variety and always tasty. The restaurant looks a little bit tired, but it’s comfortable and being ‘adults only’ , it wasn’t noisy. The pool bars were nice and the drink selection was ‘ok’ , sadly though, the whole resort , including the beach area , but mostly the bars, were overrun with wasps. They even sold swatters in the on-site mini market. They don’t leave you alone for a second, and that has sadly put me off returning to this hotel, maybe even just Corfu in general. The pool areas are gorgeous. Really clean and visually stunning. There is an above ground pool with a swim up bar which directly overlooks the beach. We loved spending our days there, on comfortable sunbeds, drinking cocktails and enjoying the view (and fighting off swarms of wasps) The beach area, the private roped off area for this hotel was quite unappealing. The cushions were wet and dirty, very tightly positioned together and just looked a mess. Evening entertainment is lacking completely. We wondered over to the neighbouring hotel but the entertainment there seemed to be just a kids disco at the amphitheater. So we were in bed after dinner almost every night as there is nowhere to go outside of the hotel. The spa is nice. It’s a 4 star spa , and perhaps a bit overpriced in my opinion, but I did quite enjoy my massage on a rainy afternoon. I wouldn’t stay here again because of the wasps and also because of the lack of evening entertainment. A 5 star hotel should most definitely have live music or good quality shows, otherwise your just drinking in the lobby and playing cards

The whole experience was really good! The staff members are so kind and helpful and a feeling of comfort and relaxation was instant on arrival. The resort is clean and food was really good too offering a variety of different cuisines. Overall really happy with the holiday and would definitely recommend visit.

On arrival we were given a free upgrade to one of the villas, private pool ect. Staff are absolutely amazing here, there’s nothing they wouldn’t do. Particular thanks to babios (I think I spelt that right) Christos, very welcoming, always a smile on his face and of course all the girls on reception that were on hand 24/7 to help with anything. Fantastic customer service, could not fault it. Rooms all clean and tidy with plenty of extras such as a sewing kit, all toiletries shampoo, conditioner, body wash ect. Fully stocked. Food is delicious, all meat cooked to perfection and plenty of selection & all waiters and waitresses absolutely lovely. Couldn’t recommend here enough, definitely recommend and worth every penny.

We had 2 fantastic relaxing weeks at Kairaba. The thing that really made it for us was the staff, who were so pleasant, helpful and friendly. Special mentions to Vasso at the pool bar and Baris in the restaurant, who looked after us so well. Our room and the surroundings were great and we loved our swim up pool, although it was a little chilly! We would recommend it to anyone who wants to just chill out and not do much at all.

We have been back a week and wish we were back there. Some of the same staff as last year and that was really lovely as we had such a warm welcome. Telis and Nikoleta in pool bar - fantastic service and always smiling. Then the waiters in the dining hall - they were all so nice and polite and happy to chat even though they had work to do. Food was excellent as always. Will definitely return

This a hotel that has been built after we first visited Agios Georgious in 2013. We have visited at least twice a year to come 'home' to the staff who originally worked at Aquis Sandy Beach. We love their friendly welcome at all times and miss some of them that have moved to Kariba. Vaso in the beach bar is amazing always has a smile and works hard. Our visit would not be as pleasant if we did not go to see her.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and lovely food! Perfect place for a relaxing stay. Quietly tucked away near the beach but in easy walking distance of St George’s. If you want a quiet hotel this is a good one, nice that you have access to other hotels within the resort. Only slight downside was the pool with the swim up bar isn’t part of the main hotel is is a short walk away next to the beach

Lovely and clean hotel. Staff really friendly. Disappointed that the swim up bar is next to the beach and not on the actual complex. Nice stroll to the beach and George's town if you want a few extra bars and restaurants. Shared with 2 sister hotels to provide plenty of entertainment. Definitely be back

Pros - Friendly Restaurant Staff - Decent food at the Kairaba restaurant. Cons - Unclean - Rooms not maintained - location isn’t great if you want to do anything - part of a much larger resort which is child friendly, with most of the facilities advertised actually within the other hotel, which is worse than Kairaba. We arrived to the hotel around 3pm, we had been travelling since 5am and when we arrived, the room wasn’t ready and we were unable to eat as lunch time had finished. We waited around another hour for our room to be ready. When we arrived to the room we found: - Mould in the shower. - Cobwebs full of dead mosquitos. - Damaged furniture. - Areas of the room unfinished, e.g areas where they hadn’t plastered/painted. - They’ve clearly had leak problems, which have been covered in excessive amounts of silicone. We went to speak to reception who were quite hostile, they said we could move rooms tomorrow. When tomorrow came, we went to speak to the again, and they now didn’t have another room for us - my partner and I were confused as we were told one thing yesterday and another today. Eventually we got moved rooms, and they immediately put other guests in our original room, which we did feel guilty about as that room required days, not hours of maintenance. The new room was marginally better but still had its faults (torn bed frame, broken lamp and the exterior door was smaller than the frame so the mosquitos could easily get in). After this incident, staff made us feel guilty for complaining and I felt uncomfortable walking through reception. The pool areas were unclean, there was a layer of grime around the swim up bar and the pool edges were covered with mould (please see images). The biggest issue for us, is we wanted a nice relaxing, adults only holiday, when we arrived, we learnt that Kairaba was effectively part of the Labranda Sandy Beach resort, which is a huge 2* child friendly resort and most of the facilities are shared with this hotel, all of the A La Carte restaurants are at the Labranda, and honestly the buffet food at Kairaba is better than these. It also meant the beach was full of children and the area roped of for Kairaba guests was also full of children, as there is no one monitoring. We did receive a small refund from TUI in the end after sending the images of the hotel. We would not recommend Sandy Villas, and will not be returning.
