Mitsis Family Village

We visited Mitsis Family Village for my partners birthday , staying from the 13th May, leaving tomorrow (17th May). From arrival the staff were very welcoming. Reception were efficient, even with a new member of staff training behind the counter! The restaurant was fantastic, a great selection of food for everyone’s taste, I note from previous reviews that people have complained about the fact that not all the food is labelled. If you are not sure, just ask the staff! If the waiting staff don’t know, they’ll get the chef, I watched it happen. The room was quite dated and could do with a little refresh, however, who goes abroad to a hotel resort to stay in the room?! It was kept immaculately clean by the housekeeping staff and there was even a little surprise for my partners birthday. The stand out has to be Marios at the main bar. He was one of the first staff members we met and immediately made a connection with us remembering our drinks order and introducing us to new cocktails! He works tirelessly and clearly cares about getting his job done right! All of the staff do, that’s what makes this hotel one of the best I have stayed at!

Love this hotel, staff are amazing, gorgeous location , beach is fantastic, bar and food available on the beach, hotel food was fantastic, great variety to suit everyone , good quality drinks at the bar, couldn’t fault this hotel or anything of the facilities

Enjoyed a 10 day stay at the beginning of May with my wife. All of the staff are simply superb especially the restaurant manager Angelo & Chef Georgios. My wife is gluten free & was catered for perfectly. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Brilliant holiday beautiful place and wonderful staff, will definitely be back. Could not do enough for you always so pleasant and helpful. Food to suit everyone and extensive bar menu too. Great night our in Kardmaina in a beautiful Greek bar

Had a lovely family holiday here. Staff are all very friendly and helpful and the resort itself it’s clean and well kept. The food has a nice selection and is constantly being topped up. The ice cream and crepe bar was a huge hit with our kids and there is no limit on how many you have. The drinks and cocktails are very tasty too! The golf cart down to the beach was ideal as the resort is quite hilly. The beach itself is lovely with a pizza and drinks bar on hand. We stayed in a swim up maisonette room which was fine. Our only complaint about this was we booked this for 2 adults and 3 children and when we finally got checked in and got dropped off at our room the sofa beds weren't made up and had no linen to make them up ourselves. Only thing we could find were a couple of very heavy blankets in the cupboard. The check in was also a bit time consuming and with only one small van shuttling people to their rooms there was a long wait. At 1am with 3 children it’s a bit of a frustrating start to the holiday.

Excellent yoga lessons by Karolina at the Mitsis Family Hotel. Very relaxing. Also good food and helpful staff in the restaurant and bar. The hotel is a long walk from Kardamena but there is a good bus service from right outside the hotel to Kardamena and Kos town . The weather is a bit windy in early May, maybe we will go later in the month next time. Thanks to all the staff for a good holiday

We LOVED our stay at Mitsis Family Village in Kos! The staff were so warm and friendly and the service and the food were superb! We met some wonderful guests there too! We loved the entertainment in the evenings! On our first night the wonderful Dritan helped us with our luggage and took us to our rooms. And there was even a sandwich ready for us at 3am! Incredible! John the LifeGuard was wonderful too! Adriola, Aspasia, Maria, and Panagiotis, served us drinks every day and had such gorgeous personalities! And the restaurant staff were absolutely brilliant too - great personalities! Good fun! And they really looked after us! We loved our holiday!

When arrived check-in was quick - around midnight - was offered to eat some crepes since we arrived late. Room was good - Twin Mountain View. Had a mini bar restocked every 2 days - beds semi-okay. We stayed at the very top of the hotel and had a private pool shared between like 7 rooms. There is a main pool - quite deep pool. In the evening there was a lack of entertainment- not many programmes. In the evening there is no space to sit inside apart from a couple of couches at the reception which are usually taken. The main area to sit is where the indoor restaurant is and in the evening it is closed and there is no place to sit apart from the outside chairs. Bar drinks good. Beach also very nice, great pizza on the beach and the cocktails made at the beach bar. Food served at the main restaurant was good for a 4 star hotel although after like 4days it got a bit boring - was pretty much the same every day apart from a slight change. This is the cheapest out of all the Mitsis hotels available in Kos - but certainly isn’t too bad considering the facilities shared by all the other hotels surrounding the hotel. To get to the beach there is a lot of walking since the hotel is on a mountain, had to go through Mitsis Summer Palace hotel to get to the beach. Lots of waking but there is a shuttle every 30min taking you to the beach. The hotel isn’t located close to a town - closest one 10min car drive away Kardamena. Hotel is very close to Kos airport - useful for us only 20min ride. The life guard very nice to have a chat to near the pool. Bartenders nice to us. Beach towels given out by the hotel until 14:00. Our hotel room was too much of a hassle to get to so we just used our rental car half way to get to our hotel room. Konstantinos very nice worker at the restaurant of the hotel and so are the receptionists. The crepes were really nice especially the ice creams! Really wanted Gyros but there was none served even though they have a sign in the restaurant saying Gyros but it was empty the whole of our 7 day trip. Water park was not bad either. The main pool had sea-water in. New thing never heard of a pool having sea-water always had chlorine in the water.

Loved this hotel once you get used to scanning things round the hotel to see what is offer. We were in 635 up a slight hill but only a few minutes walk from pool/restaurant. We had a family room for 2 with a sea view - gorgeous. Everything was so clean and tidy and staff couldn’t do enough for you. Food was lovely in restaurant and on the beach. Cocktails amazing. Beach towels and safe at no extra cost. Will definitely be back.
