Mitsis Selection Blue Domes

An amazing location, within a beautiful setting. The facilities are plentiful, and the food offerings are spectacular. The bars offer unlimited drinks throughout the day, and Blue Domes has freshwater pools running throughout its core structure. The good offerings were expansive, and catered for all dietary needs. The only downside which I found was that the rooms were not sound insulated, and therefore as I was at the end of housing section the noice from the service road was slightly irritating. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend the location to family and friends.

This place is a little piece of heaven. A lot of attention to detail went into the design of the place and the facilities, food and people were amazing. We went for an all inclusive stay and it did everything we had expected and more. The variety of restaurants and food places open during the day was great. Especially grateful to: - the lady at the concierge desk who organised it so that me and my husband could use the open gym to workout in the morning. - Elizabeth the lady with the warmest welcome possible. Always happy to see you and said such kind words. It's people like this who make the stay amazing so I hope if you visit you get to meet them. - the lady at the vegan/ juice bar who would always give our daughter a fresh cup of strawberrys when she saw her - all the cleaning, bar, restaurant staff who went out of there way to make sure you have everything you need. We even had some freshly baked bread delivered to our room to celebrate Easter. I'm not sure if this is coincidence but the only thing they didn't have for breakfast was porridge - so I would ask the bar for some hot milk - then like magic the next day (and every day after there was porridge ready made and available) - the kids area is great and a special shout out to the ladies who work so hard to do so many fun and educational activities for the children. Our daughter was 18 months so we had to stay with her but we could still get involved in all of the fun and there were plenty of toys. I could go on but I hope I've made the point that they really do sweat the small stuff here and it didn't go unnoticed! A few heads up that might be good to know in advance: - a la carte restaurants need to be booked in advance - easiest way to do this is via the app - lunch is at 12.30 and dinner at 6:30pm - so if you have to factor in naps don't do what we did and show up in between :) - the hotel is around 35 mins from Kos town We hope you visit and have a lovely experience just like we did! Firstly, the overall experience and stay at Mitsis Blue Domes was incredible. It’s one of the most stunning resorts we have ever been too, always clean, and plenty of space around the resort to explore, relax and swim! Check in was okay, however, could have been better. The staff member didn’t really explain the hotel, or give us a map. He just passed us the keys and nothing else. Breakfast was varied with plenty of choice. Always something to eat and hot food. Service could be a bit quicker in the buffet restaurant however overall enjoyable experience. The breakfast buffet would defiantly benefit from another toaster also. The pool areas and resort grounds are incredible. You feel as if you’re living in a Greek dream. Plenty of sun beds and no issues with getting a bed, however, we went at the start of October. This could be different for other times if the year. More staff needed for front reception. Often had to queue to ask a question or for help. Desk is big enough for more people so not sure why there wasn’t more people to service it especially when it was busy. Booking a taxi was very long winded. We had to book through the concierge and then go back to reception to pay? And when there are queues this can be very frustrating when all we wanted was a cab. We ended up waiting 40 minutes for our cab to turn up. The beach was great with lovely blue seas. The food overall throughout the different places to eat in the hotel was amazing. We really enjoyed the choices we had each day to go and eat! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort.

The brunch a la carte was fantastic. Amazing food, the most attentive service from Stamatia. We tried several dishes from the menu and some smoothies and we had empty plates (including the kids!) Will definitely return. Try the pancakes, they are delicious!

My fiancé and I were transferred to this hotel late on in our holiday, we only stayed the weekend but wish we had booked all 2 weeks here. The hotel is spectacular and has a great a**osphere. The food is exceptional, especially the a la cartes (we have tried the Mexican and the Brunch… special mention to Stamatia in the Brunch a la carte who makes everyone feel really welcome and is fantastic with the kids). It’s not too busy and the staff are really friendly, engaging and can’t do enough for you. We have a beach facing balcony room with phenomenal views of Nisiros as a backdrop. We hope to come back as soon as we can to experience more of this beautiful hotel.

The most enjoyable meal and experience I’ve had during our 2 week holiday. The pancakes were the nicest I’ve ever eaten, we also ordered the full English and fruit salad which were all excellent, you can just tell the quality of food used is extremely high! Thank you to Stamatia for making our experience so enjoyable and a real one of a kind. And also thanks to the rest of the team - we didn’t have to ask for anything it was all offered to us in such a timely manner. When staying at the Mitsis Blue Domes you really must experience the Brunch A la Carte I can’t recommend it enough.

This hotel is lovely we arrived in the afternoon the reception was nice and clean checked in and got taken to our room. We opted for sea view twin room and asked for upgrade if it was available. The room was nice and spacious but limited sea view as it was right at the end behind a building, the bathroom was a bit dated bit difficult to get to the bath taps as the sink was next to it there was birds nests in the balcony seems to be the case in most of them it just meant the bird kept bringing food to its babies so we didn't want to sit out there as it wouldn't come if we were out there. The hotel is big with loads of places to get drinks and food. The main restaurant was nice loads of choices again birds everywhere kept picking at the cakes then flying away. we booked at the restaurants but as i could not log in till the day we got there we could not get a booking for 3 days but the 4 restaurants we did try were lovely, Great food, service and drinks so totally worth booking before you get there. Kids section was good outside play area was nice and the inside good for toddlers and babies only thing wish it was sandy as the pebbles can be bit painful even the beach no sand and the pool was freezing no heated pool anywhere in the hotel. The hotel as a whole offered so much and the best was the mini bar being free that was something i had not experienced before in any all inclusive hotel there was so much to eat and drinks where lovely. only negative would be the cold pools, no sand not even in the small kids area and reception staff were not the friendliest even when we arrived we didnt get told where we can go and eat etc we had to find out about the street food area by walking around as we had missed lunch. but the staff at the bars and main restaurant were so friendly and nice. I would return and most importantly i am looking into staying at Mitsis in different parts of Greece.

SUMMARY Our holiday at the Mitsis Blue Domes Hotel turned out to be one of the most luxurious resorts we've ever stayed at - and we love our five-star all-inclusive resorts. LOCATION Only 15-20 minutes from the airport (but you won't know it, it's very quiet, not on the flight path) it's right on the beach, spreading up a steepish incline with impressive views over islands and a vast dark blue sea, visible from the reception areas and in particular the buffet restaurant, whether you choose to eat indoors or outdoors beneath a balcony. Behind, is a mountainous backdrop, alongside golden fields dotted with so many colourful wild flowers. From the hotel, a walk to the right leads to a small town on a quiet coastal road. To the left are a couple more hotels, sufficiently far from the Mitsis to feel - and notice - that you have the best vantage point, the best location and the best deal. There are lifts to take you from the upper pool area to the floor beneath Reception (where the evening entertainment takes place); and another lift to take you the one flight up to Reception, if you want it. Just outside this area are more pools and sun loungers, tables and chairs, so you can take cocktails/drinks outdoors in the evening. Every night, a firepit was lit, which was a nice touch. ROOMS There are buildings dotted throughout the resort, from our room overlooking the spectacular view at the highest point (Room 221). The rooms are quiet, serene, beautifully appointed. They are light, have privacy nets, but also a nice additional touch was the curtains AND shutters, for additional blackout conditions. The beds were very comfortable, similarly the pillows. We slept very soundly. The balconies are fairly private, and they include an airer for clothing to dry in one corner, which was effective even in May's slightly cooler temperatures. You could hear conversation on the other side of the balcony, but people were respectful of each other, and you didn't feel overlooked as you were separated by solid walls, not panels. There was good wine available at all times, other soft sparkling drinks and large bottles of water in the fridge, along with teas and coffees, including an espresso machine. There was plenty of room for storage, nothing has been forgotten. The bathroom had a deep bath, overhead shower and alongside was an opaque glass pane shielding the WC, with another shower attachment (bidet). The olive oil products were a pleasure to use - everything from hand wash to moisturiser, shampoo and conditioner. You wouldn't need to bring any of these products with you, they are in big bottles and have a very pleasant perfume. We had a balcony. Other choices of rooms have garden views (worth noting that some are fairly close to the pools, others along a path, and therefore more hidden/private).
