Caravia Beach Hotel

Just back from a ten-day stay at Caravia Beach. We stayed in a bungalow (which are not actually bungalows, but two-storey apartment blocks situated away from the main hotel, between the beach and the pool area). The bungalows are recently refurbished with modern and neutral decor, and perfect for our family of four. Wonderful shower, comfy beds, and blissful air conditioning. The main resort is the best I have been to in terms of access to pool and private beach. Our bungalow was literally next to the pool complex (3 adjoining pools) and from there there are 2 paths that lead to the beach. You can be from apartment to pool to beach in 3 minutes. Never a problem getting a sunbed, either by the pool or on the beach. The adults only part of the resort is completely separate from the main resort so I can’t comment on that (though it looks incredible). The kids splash park is also separate from the main complex, and we never ventured there as our kids are older (11 and 14). The hotel provides beach towels at no charge which you can change as often as you like. The whole resort is exceptionally clean and the restaurant and food are great. Can be a bit of a scrum at peak times but no more so than any other all inclusive. One nice thing is that they only offer all inclusive at the hotel so no need for annoying wrist bands! Guests are nearly all German so staff tend to speak German rather than English. Maybe not ideal if you’re English and like to make friends with fellow Brits on holiday. In terms of location there’s really not much nearby so don’t come here if you like to explore local bars and restaurants. Marmari has a few restaurants and a nice beach but not really worth the half hour walk. My only negatives would be that most of the hotel staff are not very friendly, bordering on rude at times. And the entertainment is quite limited. Just 4 nights of live music whilst we were here. It’s a real shame the beach bar shuts at 6pm as would be nice to sit there in the evenings. There’s a lovely sunset from the beach at about 7.30pm every night. In terms of excursions, would recommend Kos town (30-40 minute bus journey from hotel costing 2 Euros per person), Marmari go kart centre (20 minute walk from hotel) and Lido water park (10 minute taxi ride costing 15 Euros). The on-site spa is incredible. I had a deep tissue massage for 90 Euros (not for the faint hearted) but you can then use the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and pool all day. They are the best and most relaxing I have ever used and there was not a soul in there the whole time I was there. Overall, if you want entertainment, nightlife and socialising, this might not be the hotel for you, but if you just want to relax in beautiful surroundings for the duration of your holiday then I would highly recommend.

We have returned from a lovely stay at the Caravia beach hotel. Every member of staff were so pleasant and happy and couldn't do enough for you. There are a lot of staff so there is always someone on hand. The food in the restaurant is delicious and varied. Always capacity for loungers/seats at the pool, beach, beach bar or restaurant or evening bar. The hotel grounds are kept immaculate. We were quite surprised that our family holiday hotel room was small and had no balcony however we got used to this. The window opened fully across the room. We probably wouldn't have spent much time on the balcony anyway. Beach towels are changed every day so no need to hang up wet towels in the room. Cleanliness was 5* throughout the hotel. I did notice quite a few smokers around the pool, beach and bar areas so often the gentle breeze blew their smoke in to your and your childrens faces every time they lit up. A non smoking area in each outdoor communal place would be better. Overall a super stay.

My stay at the Caravia Beach Hotel in Kos, Greece, was exceptional. The hotel’s beachfront location offered a peaceful retreat with stunning sea views. The private beach was pristine, perfect for relaxation and seaside walks. The rooms comfort was unmatched, modern amenities like air conditioning and high-speed internet added to the convenience, ensuring a pleasant stay. Hotel facilities were impressive, including a pool, fitness center and tasty and diverse food options. The staff’s dedication to service was evident, providing a welcoming and attentive experience throughout our visit. The hotel delivers a flawless 5-star experience, combining luxury with warm hospitality.

Nous avons séjourné dans la zone Audult Only à l’hôtel Caravia Beach Hotel & Bungalow. Très bel hôtel, chambre spacieuse, propreté impeccable, jolie décoration, climatisation silencieuse, grande piscine avec un chouette bar, plage à proximité, salle de sport et spa. La nourriture est délicieuse et le personnel est très gentil et souriant. Nous y reviendrons !

This is our second visit to the Caravia Hotel staying in the junior suites. From the moment of arrival, this place feels special. Check in is quick and professional. You and your cases then go by a cute electric buggy to your room. We booked a swim up pool which is such luxury. The pool is amazing and so nice to do lengths in or just float around on a lilo in. The rooms are spacious and trendy. The beds are sooo comfortable. We had all our meals in the restaurant next to the junior suites. The grounds are kept spotless and are beautiful. But what shines at this hotel are the employees. Each and every of them provide such great service. They are all so friendly and give the time to ask you about your day. We have never had to wait for anything in the restaurant or bar as they have such great planning and are so proactive. They do show cooking in the restaurant and the chef is amazing at adapting meals just for you. He is so respectful and a brilliant chef. The hotel has a spa on site and I have had a couple of treatments with Beatrice. She was able to adapt my massage and included reflexology which was brilliant. It is a short walk to the beach where there is a bar serving snacks included in the all inclusive. We are here for 2 weeks and have 6 days still to enjoy. We can’t wait to come back next year. Amazing food, beautiful location and friendly staff. Some of animators and pool "lifeguards" were pretty arrogant, but on other hand pool bartender Aspa (smiley and positive person), restaurant lady Maria + whole reception crew was just outstanding. Managers of hotel always found time to talk with you and give tips where to go and what to discover around island. Whole family stood in hotel rooms in main building. Everything was clean so we could just relax and enjoyed our holiday. Thank you and see you next year.

Wir fanden den Empfang auf einem 2Sterne Niveau. Kein Willkommensgetränk, irgendwie auch keine Herzlichkeit. Der Herr hat uns mit Zetteln zum ausfüllen weggeschickt, dürften die nicht an der Theke ausfühlen. Die Kinder bekommen auch kein Willkommensgeschenk. Das können viele Hotel besser! Tolle Pools. Grüne Anlage. Strand schön. Alles sauber und gepflegt. Zimmer neu und schön aber klein. Ohne Balkon —＞ Das war das grösste Problem da wir keinen Platzt hatten um Badesachen zu trocknen. Auch die Putzfrauen im Zimmer waren nur oberflächlich fleissig. Ich habe den Abfluss selbst gereinigt mit Watteraräbchen und ecklige Haare der blonden Vorgäste entfernt. Duschabfluss nicht gereinigt, so stand das Wasser beim Duschen hoch. Essen wirklich gut uns abwechselnd auch wenn wir schönenere Buffets gesehen haben, war alles da und jeder happy und satt. Dimitros war ein toller Kellner. Freundlich und immer mit Lächeln begeüsst, was man von Restaurant Manager nicht sagen kann. Sein Management Still ist in 70er stehen geblieben. Management ist nicht nur Delegieren sondern mit anpacken! Getränke waren leider eine Katastrophe. Sorry aber das ist eine Zumutung. Wir haben in Kreta, Mallorca, Rhodos immer viele Coctails, Eiskaffee etc. zur Auswahl gehabt. Hier alles extra zahlbar. Nur 5 migrige Coctails in Haptbar oben wo keiner vor 19 Uhr hinging. Keine Getränke beim Theater. Man musste immer Vorsorgen. Wenig Personal in Poolbar. Keine Liste / Menükarte (ausser mit Sachen zum extra zahlen). Die Mitarbeiter Waren alle behmüht aber trotzdem Schlangen. Am Strand nur Snacks. Kein Essen und nicht zur freien Entnahme sondern über die Theke gegeben. Auch die Animation war schwach. Sehr bemüht aber amAbend einfach schwach -lag wahrscheinlich am Budget. Was uns nicht gefallen hat ist die Tatsache, dass der Kinderklub über den Parkplatz auf der anderen seite des Hotels war. Unsere 10jährige geht normalerweise selbst zur solchrn Clubs (die letzten Jahre war das in Hotels nahe und unbedenklich). Hier fanden wir es kompliziert und haben es leider nicht genutzt. Wifi ist kathastrophe. Schlechter Empfang der immer wieder abbricht. Wäre kein Problem wenn wir mobile Dienste nutzen hätten können. Leider haben sich unsere Handys aber in die Türkische Netze eingeloggt, da Signal stärker war als der Griechischer. Für uns ein Platz mit Potential aber da müssten sich einige Sachen ändern, damit wir wieder kommen

Pour notre 5 séjours , nous avons réservé un bungalow rénové, superbe et parfait pour la famille.L’hôtel est toujours au top, pour sa nourriture, sa plage, piscine et son équipe d’animation très sympathique. On a apprécié le nouveau restaurant piscine et aussi les nouveaux fauteuils et tables de la terrasse supérieure. Il est toujours agréable de revoir le personnel, une pensée pour Dimitri et Maria 😊. Encore un sans faute pour nos vacances et pas les dernières.

We have just returned from a family all inclusive holiday and the place was simply beautiful. The hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful gardens which is very picturesque. Many pools to choice from, our girls were in them constantly. Hotel right on the beach which is private to stayers which was brilliant, the beach bar was incredible, maybe better than the actual restaurant. Ice creams, slush’s, beer, wine, n lovely little snacks all included and just made things so much easier. The food in the hotel was decent enough. Took a little getting use to and our kids mainly ate standard English stuff, but the hotel tried to mix it up as much as they could and there was always a decent choice. We stayed in a bungalow which was lovely, spacious, lovely garden balcony views, cleaned every single day which was so nice to come back to. Our cleaning lady was lovely, did not speak a word of English but such a lovely helpful lady. All the staff at the hotel were polite, nothing seemed to much trouble, only slight fault I would say is the entertainment at night is in the theatre and it’s mainly run by young lads who are abit much sonetines. We didn’t spend much time here but the set up is good and kids seemed to love it. Location is lovely and quite, not much around. We did horse riding at Erikas farm which was a beach ride, ours girls loved it, really beautiful. We also took a short taxi ride to the local water park which was brilliant. Hotel 15 minutes away from airport, absolutely ideal after travelling all those hours. We arrived early hours in the morning with 2 children and were greeted and led to our room, they even put snacks and waters in our room fridge because we had a long journey which I thought was a lovely lovely touch. Overall it was just a brilliant place, best of both worlds in being peaceful yet having enough to entertain the kids. Not a lot going on in the day time but again with all the pools, kids entertained themselves. Can get windy, on the beach especially, but we welcomed this most days as it took the heat off you. Water beautiful and clear, and we went in the sea many times. Overall a fantastic holiday, i spent a lot of time reading reviews when I booked, trust me, you will not be disappointed, we certainly weren’t.
