D' Borneo Hotel

The hotel is very strategically located near the Pasar Besar KK, Pasar Malam Todak and a mosque. In the morning, many activities happened at the Pasar Besar and at night, you can go eat seafood at the many stalls in the Pasar Malam Todak. All are within walking distances of less than 5-10 minutes away. The hotel has been in the business for quite a long time. However, the accommodation and room cleanliness are well up kept and maintain. Other amenities such as restaurant and Speedmart are just nearby.

The room very big spaces.very clise to night market & sunday market.also close to KK plaza & centre point.

Easy to get food & shop at night market.The place was silent & peace.

乾淨整潔舒適四周商圈出行方便

We had visited 6 places of interest since we arrived on Sabah soil. Since one of our friends was worried about her skincare products which may have melted under the hot sun, we agreed to check-in to our hotel at 3:00 pm before continuing our sight-seeing adventure. I had filled out the relevant forms & had left our luggage with the kind elderly staff who mentioned that he will send our bags to their respective rooms. We came back after visiting 2 other places, that being Coffee Bean Tea Leaf & the City Mosque. True enough, our luggage was already inside our rooms. Both rooms had an ensuite bathroom. Our room was slightly bigger than our 2 friends’ as we had paid slightly more for a double bed. Both rooms were long, rectangular in shape & connected to one another as requested. The furniture in both rooms was quite dated. But at least, there was a small fridge & coffee & tea making facilities. In addition, 2 packets of snacks which happened to be a favourite of mine were given complimentary. Unfortunately, the bed wasn’t comfortable but the sofa & ottoman were. The TV reception was bad. But it didn’t matter quite as much as we were only staying for 1 night. WiFi signal was weak too. However, the air-conditioner was good. The ensuite bathroom was surprisingly big & the water pressure was good. You win some, you lose some. In general, it’s a good hotel as it is strategically located in town. Besides, air-conditioner & water pressure were the 2 most important factor & they had met my expectations. Hence, I would strongly recommend this hotel if you’re in Kota Kinabalu. Value for money indeed! Since I had booked this hotel through Agoda, the hotel had given back Cashback rewards which I was able to use in future. Another added advantage!
