Theatre Hotel

Room is very cozy, new and clean. But if you got a room facing the road, you might get disturbed with loud car or motorcycle, sometimes at 2PM. Even if there is a storm you will hear the thunder very loud.

this is my genuine review. Location is superb, very near to city center, roughly about 5 mins grab ride (which usually costs about RM4.50-6). Hotel is relatively new so cleanliness is a 10/10. I got a room at level 5, hence i did not experience any noise that disrupted my sleep except honking from vehicles on the road. Do note that the hotel enforces strict rules but imo its reasonable of them to have such rules. Example are no stains to be spotted on bedsheets, else rm50 will be charged. I also like how they use smart technology here. Keyless entry to rooms, and no need to trouble yrself to call the receptionist like many other hotels. They communicate via whatsapp & i have to say their response is quite fast. I asked for an extra towel before and not long after a staff knocked to pass me one. Only thing i would suggest to improve is to not have many staffs lingering around the room for too long. Idk why eveey morning, afternoon, evening and even night, i see the housekeeping staffs outside hahaha. Also do note that there isnt any gym (i think!) and for muslim travellers, the restaurant below serves alcohol but is claimed to serve ‘halal’ food (this is common there). So if you’re like me who takes this seriously and prefer to dine at legitimately halal restaurants, do take note on this. However, there is Anuar Steamboat located about 8 minutes walk from the hotel. do try that out. Overall, i would definitely come back. Reasonably priced, great location, good cleanliness, responsive.

The trip was ok .. but the corridor are abit dirty and got smell .: overall just a standard hotel .. breakfast not so many choice and so so only .

Property is nicely done and suitable for travelers that like the minimalist feel. Room is comfortable and all amenities up to standard. Only issue is to check that your room is not located facing the roads as it tends to get noisy even late nights due to cars / bikes racing. Also, check your room isn’t where the kitchen exhaust chimney is, it shuts down late around 1030/11pm and starts as early as 430/5am. Definitely not for the light sleepers.

The location is quite good, 10 mins walk to waterfront. The famous restaurant, lepau and choonchin is only 4 mins walk away. The bedsheet is not that clean, some dirt/ bloodstain is noted. Overall, the room itself is clean. Toiletries and hairdryer are provided.
