Leisure Vacations Goldfield Lake Resort

We booked two premium lake-view rooms for two nights directly through the reservations team located outside Kerala. While booking, we clearly requested lake-facing rooms and emphasized the importance of having rooms free of any fungus or similar issues. The resort itself is situated about 2 km from the main road, near the lake. There are approximately 5-7 parking spaces available, but I was fortunate to secure covered parking upon request. Ankit, from the staff, was helpful in providing all the information we needed. Unfortunately, upon checking in, the quality of the rooms was very disappointing. The walls had significant fungus and damage, and only one of the rooms was actually lake-facing. The other rooms had been sold out to a group. This was especially disappointing for the kids, who were upset by the condition of the room. There is no WIFI in the rooms. We had booked for two nights, but due to the poor room conditions, we inquired about checking out a night earlier. However, the staff informed us that this was not possible, as we had paid the full amount in advance and no refund would be issued. The room service offered limited food options, which were just okay. The Airtel DTH service had only a few channels. The room itself consisted of a small bedroom, a toilet/shower, a living room, and a balcony. Both the bedroom and living room had significant wall damage and fungus. On the next day, we decided to check out by the evening, even though it meant losing a night's rent. It was worth it to stay in our own house rather than at this property. The breakfast provided was ordinary and mainly catered to the group staying there. Overall, due to high tourist demand, room rates in Kumarakom seem to be inflated and do not justify the quality of service provided.

Nice location and very good hospitality swimming pool is nice located near lake nice view..specailly thanks to all staff mention Mr.Ankit and specially thanks to Mr.Kailash also he given excellent service with always smiley face when he service and really all staff are excellent thay give us good stay and take care also and we ill visit again Thank you..

One must visit Doves Royal Goldfield located in Kumarakom, Kerala. i had a great stay the staff was very friendly and helped us smoothly check in. we were checked in by Doves Vacation & were very helpful and made our stay very comfortable. i hope to come and stay again very soon. I have also taken their membership plan which is excellent and i would recommend to all for their membership.

Doves vacation company cheats you by giving you false promise.... They are terrible in their service. recently I got a voucher for 2D/3N and was told accomodation was free. When I wanted to avail the offer they started saying this is only for off season and I need to pay 999 as utiltiy bill which was not mentioned before..Please be careful before you can take membership

FRAUD!! SCAM!! This is a fraud company, they have cheated us of our money . We cancelled their product the very next day they sold us . The policy says the full amount will be refunded within 90 days now the 90 days are over . After many calls to them they are saying they will refund it after October. That too they are not sure . Now the reason they are saying is the financial crisis. We stay in Kochi and their office was in panampilly nagar. But one month back they closed down their office. Please don't be cheated by them. The reason for cancelling was the pic of the hotel they were providing looked picture perfect on their web site. But when we googled the same picture it looked run down and not so great. Please don't be cheated by them. For proof you can message me.

Very beautiful property. I stayed here for 2nights . You feel very close to nature. birds, mango trees , backwater make this property very beautiful. Staff here is very good.Food was good. Service was very quick. Helpers are very humble and kind.

Amazing stay with good facilities, beautiful resort and well maintained.We booked LakeViewRoom. It was amazing,Food and service was too good.Great breakfast,lunch and dinner.Many kinds of activities like lagoon activities, evening sunset cruise and cultural program also. All the staff very polite and smiling faces. Especially the restaurant lady staff Ms. Gayatri and the other service team Mr.Ajo and Mr.Bobin.Thanks to all the entire team Gokulam Grand. I stayed here with a few of my friends. We had booked two rooms and they charged rupees 6500 for a room that was close to the backwaters. Room did not live up to our expectations at all. Bathroom was extremely dirty and it was so difficult to use the bathroom. Price did not match the facilities provided here. Pictures of dining room is deceiving. They have no clean facilities to demand the price they are charging. Breakfast is included in the price, but they don't even provide it until after 9 am. Basically, they wait for people to leave before they prepare the breakfast, probably another tactic to save some money. Price of the food was outrageous. All prices are pretty much at par with Marriott, but the facilities are not even at a 2 star level. Service is not great. They charged us 50 rupees for a tea in the morning while breakfast was already included in our room rent and we didn't even have it since it wasn't ready even by 9 am. The only plus point about this place is the backwaters. But even that is not utilized properly. There is not good bench to sit and relax. I would not recommend this place at this rate. I would say, rupees 3000 per night would be a fair price for the facilities you would get from this place. If you are from abroad, definitely look for another place. You wouldn't be able to use the bathrooms here. It's that pathetic looking with dirty tiles and low quality fittings!
