The communication with the owner Mats was very promising and we really expected a lot for our family trip back in December 2020. The tour started late, the 2 guides were litually kids. 1 was smoking the other didn't speak English well. The cage / ark was warmish but we had some snow overalls. During the trip we experienced some challenges. We got stuck while crossing a road, we ate potato salad from a store bought plastic container and sat in a slightly messy tent. It was really cold and no northern lights so we asked to go back earlier. On the way back we run out of gas which also mot stopped going back but also killed the heaters which weren't working much anyway. After another kid came on a scooter we went back to camp. Completely frozen and had to wait for the driver to drive us back to town in a car. Even we saw some northern lights at that point we were to frozen to enjoy it. I'm sure they're more professional tour operates in town. The product itself is a good idea but truly not recommended for kids. Also this is only our experience with the tour operate not the accommodation. The little nests from skyvillage looked very promising and guests we met were really satisfied staying there. Not sure now during corona time but this is our experience from 2020.
