Hotel Kou Bugny

The location of this hotel is ideal, adjacent to two beautiful beaches (so if one was windy we could jump to the other). It is an older style institution and we chose a "bungalow" in traditional style, set in very attractive gardens. Maybe some updates will happen in due course; in hot weather it should be good but in less hot weather with a lot of rain, having the clothing mini-wardrobe based in a bathroom without a fan made us aware of damp. The staff are very good and helpful, both at the hotel itself and and its adjacent bar and restaurant which had excellent buffet breakfasts and a reasonable range of options for dinner and some for lunch. It was good too that the hotel provided their own cars for hire. Balancing facilities and price this seemed to best option for the island.

We stayed in a “comfort bungalow” for 4 nights. I would recommend getting breakfast included and filling up on the pastries, baguettes, fruit and hot food as the island is very expensive. We also brought snacks from the mainland and had dinner at the hotel. The room was a good size, clean and with air con and a small fridge. The location is spectacular- right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The hotel also has a shuttle bus leaving at 1030 or 1300 to the “natural aquarium” at Oro Bay ( and back at 1500 for XPF 2780 pp. definitely worth the trip at least once. We would stay here again

My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. The rooms are decent and well maintained, and the breakfast included is super yum. It's all made fresh every morning and there is more than enough for every type of breakfast person. The staff are super lovely and kind, and made our stay extra special. We were nervous when booking this accommodation because a lot of the reviews were old and also not very positive. I would say that most the reviews are pretty harsh, and it's a great place with the BEST resort beach. It's super sheltered from the wind and it's access to another beach enables loooong beach strolls. If you're looking for a comfortable room in a beautiful resort (with a great breakfast) at a reasonable price, this is a great option. Something to note that EVERYTHING in Iles Des Pines is about 2-3 times more expensive than Numea. So be prepared to pay a premium for anything you spend money on. Pro tip, there's a mini bar fridge in each room and we bought our own food and snacks from Numea. This helped with expenses and gave us another option other than the hotel dinner. Would recommend, and would stay again.

Hôtel agréable dans un site paradisiaque. Literie confortable, personnel sympathique. Prix tout à fait correct, excursion top, location de voiture bien pratique sur place. Contact et réservation facile directement sur le site. Je recommande et n’hésiterai pas à y séjourner de nouveau.

À une centaines de mètres de la plage qui est magnifique, un hôtel très très accueillant arboré vraiment top j'y retourne sans aucun souci c'est super joli un cadre idyllique. Avec Un restaurant tout proche en bord de plage pour admirer de magnifiques coucher de soleil

Hôtel très vieillissant. Vous pensez être dans un bungalow ? Ben non! Vous atterrissez dans une sorte de motel. Propreté juste, juste. Vous devrez traverser la route pour aller au restaurant de l’hôtel. Bon petit déjeuner.

Très bon emplacement, au calme avec une nature luxuriante. Les arbres apportent de la sérénité à cet endroit. Le personnel est accueillant et professionnel. Pas de Wifi dans les chambres, ni au restaurant, à ce niveau de prix c'est à revoir. La chambre est confortable et spacieuse et calme. Par contre, le coffre fort et l'éclairage miroir de la sdb hors service. Pas de bouteille d'eau au frais en arrivant, prévoir une carafe au minimum ! Un rafraichissement général de l'établissement est nécessaire surtout au prix de la chambre. Le petit déjeuner buffet est correct mais les produits ou les grandes tasses viennent à manquer dès 7:30. Le dernier jour pas de pain grillé, plus de confiture mangue/passion, deux variétés de thé en moins. D'ailleurs un bon thé vert serait un minimum, le thé vert à la menthe c'est pour après le repas.... Peu de fruits frais, pas de bananes, mangue ou ananas... Pas de beurre demi sel. Idem au restaurant deux parfums de glace en moins au bout de deux jours... Sinon les plats du restaurant sont copieux et bon. Les excursions sympathique, nous avons adoré la piscine naturelle. Par contre, la sortie bateau avec repas langouste, très cher pour juste observer une tortue pendant 10 minutes. Le repas top.

L'hôtel est très bien situé, proche des 2 belles plages de Kuto et Kanuméra. La chambre est correcte et l'hôtel propose de nombreux services. La restauration est aussi très bonne même si le service était un peu long en plein service. Un endroit correct pour un séjour de 2-3 jours.

Hôtel vieillissant avec peu d'entretien. Pas de douche mais une baignoire et c'est dommage, propre. Petit souci avec des bêbêtes dans notre lit un soir et l'équipe est venue immédiatement changer les draps. Bon restaurant avec une vue magnifique.
