Motel Luzerne

We made reservations months in advance. We thought we had a room on the 1st floor that we could sit outside and look at the lake. I went with my 82 year old mother,and I recently had back surgery. When we arrived, we were told that we were staying to driveways up "poolside". Our room was at the top of a hill. We had to climb steep stairs that didn't even have hand rails. Not easy to carry luggage up. The pool was at the bottom across the parking lot. Barely visible from our room. The stairs were not lit at night, so I had to use the flashlight on my phone to help my mom up & down the stairs. The refrigerator was turned up so high it froze our stuff by morning. My Coffeemate was frozen solid. The bathroom was tiny with no counter space. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was that it was clean, the a/c worked and there was a Keurig with supplies to make coffee. Certainly not worth $250/night.

New owners Pam and crew have been hard at work making Motel Luzerne the perfect spot to relax with family. I have been visiting this area for over 50 yrs. Lodging has been minimal and greatly in need of updating. Motel Luzerne's new owners have truly breathed new life into the area with their purchase of this motel. Every room has been renovated. Some units have full kitchens and at the very least all others have a mini fridge and microwave with table and chairs. All new appliances, flooring, and bedding contributed to making this motel a clean and bright place to stay. Outside chairs, grills, floats, fire pits (yes they supply fire wood) , kayaks, canoes and life jackets limit the amount of things you need to pack. Pam is always around asking "is there anything else you need or anything we could do better?" As new owners they are always open to suggestions and really strive to have a happy customer. I look forward to my next stay at Motel Luzerne.

We stayed here at the end of July and it was fantastic! Rooms were very clean, the beach and kayaks were wonderful, and the location could not have been more perfect! Bonus points for the keurig, fridge and microwave! Lake George was very close by, and that was the main part of our trip, but we loved the town of Lake Luzerne! We definitely will be returning next year!! Thank you! What a great experience!

Our stay was great, but the cottage room number 7 by the poolside definitely needs to be updated. We stood 2 days on the lakeside those rooms are awesome. Pam is great!!!!! Everything is near by. All that needs to be done is some upgrading and some property landscaping and it will be a perfect place. But I would definitely recommend and return

Had a great time. The changes the new owners have made are great. The beach was clean, the grass area was great to set up our outdoor games. Loved the kayaks, paddle board and paddle boat that were available to us. Have been going there for years and will continue with that tradition

This is my families 26th year going to formally the Lake Luzerne Motel and now Motel Luzerne. The new owners are making amazing upgrades each year including the new deck for fishing. We rent out all of the rooms on Lakeside and it’s a great place for us to have our family reunion each year. We are already booked for next year!
