I stayed here at The Knights Inn/Colonial Fireside Inn, 1350 Pembroke Street West, Pembroke, Ontario, Canada, K8A 7A3 from Friday May 20, 2022 to Saturday May 28, 2022. I lost my cell phone, wallet, and car keys at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Thursday May 19, 2022. I returned to my vehicle at the Deep River Hospital to find that I had no way to drive my car. The Deep River Police were very helpful and contacted North Algonquin Towing (N.A.T.) to tow my vehicle to the Lapointe Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership, Pembroke, Ontario, K8A 7M3. Losing my cell phone, wallet, and car keys has been really frustrating. The hotel staff at the Knights Inn were really kind and accommodating of my circumstances. They allowed my mother Heather Langman to pay by credit card from Prince George, British Columbia, Canada with a credit card authorization form. Small town charm is real. A family run business is the best way to go. :) Joshi (the owner) of the hotel went out of his way to make me feel welcomed and well care for. He seems to be a nice man and has his family living with him at the hotel (there is separate living area for the family). What a nice living arrangement. Joshi appears to enjoy owning and managing the day to day operations of the Knights Inn Hotel. I even saw his kids playing outside in the sunshine. The hotel owner, Joshi, also allowed my service dog Penny to stay in the suite. I had to stay here for 8 days while I waited for my 2017 Dodge Journey (black) vehicle keys to be replaced. Terry at Lapointe Chrysler Dodge Jeep was also very kind and accomadating. He was able to replace my vehicle keys by contacting the O.P.P. to confirm the VIN: 3C4PDCAB5HT523940 and BC license plate NK1 27B (ICBC insurance expiry date August 5, 2022) is registered to my name Dorianna Heather Langman. Anyway, it was a very pleasant stay in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada. I hope to stay at another Knights Inn Hotel while I drive west across Canada. Today is Saturday May 29, 2022 and I'm currently in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada (after driving for about 8 hours today). I plan to continue driving west across Canada following Highway 17 which turns into Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway) at the Ontario and Manitoba provincial border. I can't drive at night (in the dark) because I can't see properly and I hit a rabbit on the road one time driving in the dark and want to avoid that again. Anyway, another 14 hours (2days x 7 hours) and I should be in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and then another 21 hours (3days x 7 hours) and I should be back in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Once I'm back in the province of British Columbia I can replace my birth certificate, drivers license, ICBC insurance documents (Sussex Insurance), and bank cards. All that being said: I think Pembroke, Ontario, Canada was my nicest stay in Ontario. I don't know anyone here and the hotel staff at the Knights Inn made an annoying situation much more pleasant. Couldn't we all use such kindness and hospit
