Beautiful view, beautiful hotel , food was good , beds a little too small for a couple.

Memmo Alfama Hotel made the difference for us between a good and a great vacation. First, the basics: the room was immaculate, soundproof, and perfectly appointed. The shower worked well (hot water, pressure). Electric outlets were in the right places, and so on. What really made Memmo Alfama stand out though was the rooftop deck. The view, the comfortable seating, the tiny pool all made for a wonderful way to start and end each day. We took breakfast out there each morning (Breakfast, btw was fantastic), returned late afternoon for espresso martinis (me) and a dip in the pool (my wife), and then ended there for a nightcap after an evening out. The staff/service was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and accomadating. The location was excellent - in the heart of the most interesting and visually varied neighborhood, and walking distance to the metro/river running path.

The location and the staff at this hotel were the highlight of our ten days in Portugal. We left Lisbon for Algarve but were sorry we did as we missed Memmo. We had one of the superior rooms that happened to have a view of the pool and more importantly Alfama. I believe it was room 22. I cannot imagine they have a better situated room. Upon exiting our room we could be on the beautiful pool terrace overlooking the amazing cityscape, the best in Lisbon in 5 seconds as it was on our level. We had sunrise breakfast on that terrace and sunset drinks every day. The pool it tiny but I did use it to cool off. Below the pool is another deck with sunbeds to lay on. Between 10 and 10 each day the deck has what I would describe as light traffic with guests and others using it for lunch/drinks. You can walk into the heart of Alfama within a minute or two upon leaving the lobby. It is very hilly in Alfama so be prepared for that. I know of no other hotel better situated in Alfama. The hotel has free walking tours and Fido shows for guests. The breakfast buffet was amazing and included your ability to order customer items from a menu. Now the good part - the service was amazing. We are technologically challenged and any time we called for help with the refrig, coffee maker, TV etc. they sent Nilson or Leonardo right up within a minute to help. Because it is in Alfama there is little to no parking at the hotel. I had arranged to have a car to be delivered for our departure. I was concerned that I would have to be ready to jump in with my luggage on our last day. They took control of the situation for me, alerted me when my car arrived and gave me the one spot up front to park the car so I could continue to enjoy the facilities my last morning. Every staff member was gracious and helpful. Love this place.

Such an amazing experience! The most perfect spot of Lisbon. The staff and everyone working at the hotel were beyond helpful and friendly would definitely recommend staying here. Francisco and Arielle at the front desk were especially kind and helpful with whatever we needed. Nothing was too big of ask. The recommendations provided by the hotel staff were perfect they set up all of our reservations. We got engaged while staying there and they made every single detail perfect. The rooftop pool and bar are also fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely beautiful hotel with sweet, very thoughtfully arranged rooms. We appreciated all the small details that made our short stay well worth it! The terrace is a highlight for sure, though doesn’t seem like people actually swim in the pool. We loved every moment!

We had a wonderful stay in this boutique hotel. Perfectly located in the old town, easy to walk everywhere. Beautiful views from the rooftop (despite the cruise ships), pool is an added bonus. Nice lounge area to relax in, quite small rooms but modern and clean.
