Living Lisboa Baixa Apartments

On arrival we were put in a much smaller inferior apartment than we booked and paid for, with cheap plastic furniture. Despite showing the receptionist our booking confirmation and the pictures of the apartment which we had booked, the receptionist advised that these were old pictures, showing the previous furniture and the pictures are only ‘indicative’ of the type of apartment that you might get. This is clearly deception. We asked to speak to the Management about our concerns, but they never contacted us during our stay. Our sub standard apartment was stuck right up in the eaves, the bedroom was like a cave as it had the tiniest window you’ve ever seen (5cm x 10cm), long black hairs on the floor and in the shower, broken floor tiles and stained towels. Also, despite booking a double bed, what you get is two single beds pushed together, that have single bed sheets and then a blanket thrown over the top to pretend it’s a double, but as soon as you get in the beds move apart. Also, don’t be fooled by the attractive pictures of the full height double doors in the bedroom leading onto the balcony, I’ve attached a picture to show what you really get! During our Portugal tour we stayed at 10 different hotels and 9 were great, but this one was abysmal. If you are still in doubt, then go and check the other reviews for this hotel on different sites.

This was a horrific experience to arrive to a country we have never been before and was left stranded without accommodation. Day of arrival to Lisbon, was advised that we had been put up at two different hotel (s) for each of first and second nights. Which would mean we would have to move in the middle of our stay (total 7 nights). This reservation was made months in advance and booked directly with them. This last minute change was made without our consent, and having arrived to the new hotel, we were told there was no reservation under our name. Had to wait for over two hours to be checked in and had to pay extra to get a room. The management of Living Lisboa would not come on the phone or show any remorse, only to blame this on a "technical issue" despite having confirmed the reservation and everything to be in order. In fact, the following morning, we were told that the price of our apartment at Living Lisboa had more than doubled, despite the issue being from Living Lisboa and not our error, again this was forced on us without explanation. I would not recommend Living Lisboa.

Good location but bed very hard. Two singles mattresses pushed together. Noise level atrocious, could hear every movement from apartment above and beside us. Party in bar below still going strong at 1am in the morning.

We were due to travel to Lisbon and on the morning of our departure the living lisboa apartments cancelled on us. This left us with nowhere to stay and ended up paying a lot more than we had paid for this accommodation. While I understand that hotels sometimes get it wrong and have to cancel, to do so on the morning of our stay was simply unacceptable and we received nothing more than a token 'sorry'. Having booked the accommodation well in advance of our stay i found this very disappointing and goes without saying i will not be considering this accommodation again.

Do not book there for your own sake ! Only at the check in moment - while we arrive early in the evening with our 2 small daughters- following confirmed reservation (see attached) they literally told us that our reservation was canceled. However, they have never communicated to us this cancellation, not by email and not by phone call (!!!). Leaving us speechless and extremely upset. Shame on them.

we had to cancel our trip same day we wanted to leave, due to high fever. The amount was charged on my credit card and for a week i'm now trying to get an invoice for the charged amount. it is not possible to get a reaction from anybody, besides a whatsapp message from March 30th "my office will contact you, don't worry" this was a week ago and i haven't heard anything nor did i get an invoice. That they charged my creditcard is all well, since i had a non-refundable price, but then they should also be able to send an invoice!
