Country Inn Listowel

Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Extra pillows in closet allowed us to find the comfort level we're used to.Cleaning staff did a good cleanup between night stays. Was the 2nd time we've stayed here and will return if we're in the area again.

An absolutely perfect family accommodation. Every single one of our requests was politely and efficiently taken care of. We were travelling with eight year old triplets who loved the tennis court and basketball court just outside our room. The equipment for the court was left on the court so the kids could just go play whenever they had time. They loved it and the adults appreciated the readily accessible area for play. The Inn is located with very close proximity to excellent, kid friendly restaurants - "Crabby Joes" was our supper go to and "Staked" has an amazing variety of breakfast choices. Coffee shops and grocery stores are close as well. Listowel has an excellent park with a playground, a swimming pool, a water park, a skateboard area as well as baseball and tee-ball practice areas. I was extremely impressed with both the Inn and the town.

Good Hotels are hard to find. I have stayed in hotels worldwide and focused on at least Marriott or Hilton, at a minimum, for consistency. I like consistency, excellent service, smiles, clean rooms, and exceptionally comfortable beds. You do not get Platinum Elite and Diamond status in a year for lack of stays at Marriott and Hilton, so I know hotels a little. On my trip, I was stranded for the name-brand hotel and a local recommended Listowel Country Inn, and I was initially skeptical. During my second stay at the Inn, the staff again greeted me with genuine warmth. The rooms, meticulously maintained by the maid service, and the beds, offering a truly comfortable sleep, added to the overall positive experience. They do not serve breakfast, which I did not mind because I like eating food that is not quick or unhealthy. At the local restaurants—not the name-brand restaurants—you get amazing home-cooked meals that are good and healthy. I look forward to my next trip through town and to staying here again.

I am very pleased with the Listowel Country Inn! Check in was such a smooth process and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. My room was incredibly clean and has everything you need! It's the small details that make such a difference - including the microwave, Keurig & K-Cups, water and cookies! It's nice and close to grocery stores and Walmart which was convenient to grab a few things I forgot. Very appreciative of the friendly service and attention to detail. Thank you!

We stayed overnight in Listowel to visit our new property and to visit our friends. The room (106) had no carpet. Laminate floors and tile in the bathroom. We asked if we could bring our dog and they said yes but added $30 to the rate of $139 so in total we paid $190.00. The $30 was a cleaning fee for the dog. They acted like they were doing me a favour for letting us bring our dog. There was nothing to clean except the normal cleaning you would expect after a guest stays. The room was nothing fancy and similar to a motel 6. Towels were not very soft. The bed was not very comfortable. Staff were pleasant enough. It is overpriced for what you get. Out in the middle of nowhere and a couple of miles to town.

The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet, which was important since I had to be up very early to start my day. Big parking lot for a 53' trailer. Excellent staff, very friendly. It was my second time staying here on business and will definitely stay again.

We made a reservation for 3 nights, the room although dated was very clean. They provided snacks in the room which was a nice treat. Very quiet, the pillows and the beds we very comfortable. Would we stay there again if we were in the area, yes?

Myself and my partner (both in our 50's) wanted a quiet night away. That is NOT what we got. In spite of booking one of the nicer rooms, apparently regular rooms are ABOVE those. It wasn't mentioned to us that it was the kickoff weekend to Paddyfest or that a hockey team was in the rooms above us. There are signs in every room about no noise after 11pm but we were treated to kids running the halls until 10pm and then shuffling furniture (?) and loud music until 4am. There's nobody to complain to because apparently the front desk is unmanned at night and noise levels go unmonitored. Our room had sliding doors to a small private patio and view of a field with an expanse of untouched snow.. by 9:30 not only was there footprints to our door but many many footprints.. in near knee deep snow.. past our sliding door like someone was running laps around the building. Creepy.. The marble tile floor in the bathroom was freezing and the heated floor function is non functional. The king sized bed is comfortable enough in the middle but the mattress has some kind of hard (metal?) edge that runs around the entire thing attached to the mattress so that sitting on the edge of the bed is VERY uncomfortable. And the topper to all of this? I do my own gel nails.. had a LED light with me for nails.. should not have looked.. Not ever going back.

The motel looks like it has been around for quite some time, but although the rooms are small, they are clean and there has been an obvious effort to spruce it up. Staff are friendly. The Inn is located too far from town to walk for restaurants or other business, but it's only a short drive.
