Hotel Astra

Hotel Astra is a real Livigno gem - great location, friendly staff and nice a**osphere. We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed every minute of it. The common areas have been upgraded relatively recently and ooze comfort and friendliness with their glass, stone, wood combination. A lift has been added, which makes all floors easily accessible. That includes the basement floor, where the underground parking is located (convenient, safe and dry, which saves you the hassle of digging your car from underneath the frequently heavy snowfalls in the Livigno valley). The rooms are slightly dated but very clean and comfortable, with full bathroom amenities. The beds were extremely comfortable, which is somewhat rare. The location is very convenient, very close to the Doss ski lift, which makes it almost a ski-in ski-out, but also within walking distance of the Carosello 3000 gondola. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, giving you the option to ride into town or the Mottolino side of the resort. Breakfast was exceptional, with a sufficient variety of high quality pastries, croissants, meat cuts, cheeses, gluten-free products, delicious jams, as well as fresh orange juice and a live cooking station where you can order any type of egg dish. All in all, extremely good value for money and we would definitely enjoy coming back :)

The stay was very enjoyable, the rooms were clean and well-kept, and the breakfast was delicious. Service at the highest level. The rooms were cleaned every day and towels were also changed every day. Sauna available at any time... Everything was great!

The accommodation was very good and comfortable. There is very friendly and helpful staff. Especially the restaurant La Piöda is perfect, food delicious every day and with very friendly entire staff!!! Big thanks especially to Francesco and also his nice colleagues 👍👍😉.

After a long trip from France, Germany, Switzerland finally finding this hotel was a total relieve. Checked in late at night but these wonderful people of the hotel made us so happy, kept the restaurant open and serve delicious food and drinks with an extraordinary friendly way. Especially Francesco even take the extra steps and made a wonderful birth day selebration. Thank you thank you and thank you,,,thank you wonderful staff of the hotel.

The hotel restaurant (Ristorante La Piöda) was excellent. Great for breakfast and dinner. Good spread and coffee for breakfast. Francesco made dinner an enjoyable and fun experience. Highly recommended when you are in Livigno and don't want to be overcharged.

Wonderfull hotel near the slopes. At the back of the hotel there is already a lift where you can start or connect to the area of Carosello. The ski bus stops in front of the hotel. Both breakfast and diner were excellent. Lots of fresh and local products, with lots of choice. Fresh orange juice in the morning, different types of bread and cakes available, fresh fruit, omelet... Diner was a 4 course menu of choice, again homemade with fresh and often local products. Everything we ate was outstanding. Our rooms were a bit elementary but very clean. Very helpfull and thoughtful staff. We had a great time and hope to visit again.

Fantastic and friendly staff both at breakfast and at the lunch, always helpful and pleasant which is an important part of any stay. Best coffee by Francesco & Jeffrey 😃 who are the heart of the place, and great a**osphere. Thank you!

Excellent hotel with very good service. Location was perfect, close to the slopes, exactly next to a bus stop, with supermarket across the road. I am a coeliac and they were able to provide a gluten free breakfast for me. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
