The Zetter Clerkenwell

I visited Zetter yesterday for a few drinks, expecting a relaxed evening out. Unfortunately, what I encountered was nothing short of disgusting. While I was there, I saw at least four mice scurrying around the bar area, getting alarmingly close to where I was sitting. Seeing rodents in any establishment is bad enough, but in a place where drinks and food are served, it's downright unacceptable. Horrified, I brought this to the attention of a staff member, expecting them to take immediate action. Instead, I was met with a shockingly casual response. The staff member simply said they would "inform maintenance," as if it were a minor issue rather than a serious health concern. There was no apology, no urgency, and no indication that they planned to address the problem right away. It was as though this was just another day at Zetter, which is incredibly disturbing. I still feel sick just thinking about the experience. A bar should be a place where you can enjoy yourself, not worry about the cleanliness of the environment. The lack of concern from the staff only made the situation worse. If you're considering going to Zetter, I strongly advise you to think again. This isn't just about poor service; it's about basic hygiene and safety, which this place seems to lack entirely. There are plenty of other bars out there—choose one where you won't have to share your space with rodents.

This boutique hotel in the heart of Clerkenwell is a delight, especially on a cold, rainy January night. You enter straight into the quirky bar with it's real fire and eclectic array of curiosities - plenty to look at while you enjoy a cocktail or have breakfast. I was lucky enough to be upgraded as the hotel wasn't full and the room had an amazing bath and fantastic view across to The Shard, as well as a very comfy bed.

Blown away by this treasure of a hotel. Walking into the parlour we were transported into another world. We were made to feel very special by all. The management were amazing. Lovely attentive staff. The rooms and bathroom were equally stunning and big. Decor from the parlour was carried through to the room. Breakfast was delicious both cooked and continental. Loved the poached eggs and avacado. The beds were big comfortable. After a long day in London we fell a sleep very quickly. Lots of hanging space and a vintage sofa to sit and have read. There is tube station near by but we really liked walking to the attractions. Not far at all and passing many coffee shops and boutiques.

Very nice room, clean and spacious and the best sleep ever, the bed in Room 1 is so good. Great service

Had the most amazingggg 2 nights stay last weekend in room 11....room had a lovely view if the Shard whilst lying in the mist comfy bed... Staff are the friendliest ever and make you feel very much at home ...would deffinatley stay again...Thankyou Zetter Family...Caroline and Mark

Very disappointed with service at this hotel great location beautiful hotel but zero service. It was our son’s wedding and the hotel knew this. We left the hotel at 11.50am to go to the ceremony and arrived back at 1.30 am to find our room exactly as we left it. I mentioned this and was told you are meant to put a card out to remind then if they forgot to do it but apparently they forgot to do this. Very upsetting to come back to 3 rooms all untouched and with no drinking water!!! There is no excuse for this!
