What a fantastic place to stay , beautiful room quality furnishings, everything you could possibly want and at last fresh milk in the fridge and water. lovely bed , fabulous pillows . The breakfast is tasty , prompt service and wonderful atmosphere, The setting in the middle of a beautiful village with walks , thatched houses and a relaxing bolt hole to get away from our busy world..thank you to all the staff and big shout out to the Manger who was so welcoming and attentive to the needs of everyone .

Stayed at The Peat's Spade for a couple of nights while my partner had visits in the area. The rooms struck a lovely balance between vintage chic and modern comfort. As someone who works from home, I appreciated the desk and excellent WiFi, making it ideal for any working professional. The restaurant's food was excellent, with a great wine selection. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very professional throughout our stay. Nothing was too much to ask, and many above-and-beyond gestures in room and service style didn’t go unnoticed. Highly recommend The Peat's Spade for a delightful and comfortable stay!

Lovely rooms and we were upgraded so we had a huge bath and 4 poster bed. Room was large and well presented with service for spare goods that you have forgotten. A small village so it was nice. The Full English Breakfast was nice and the menu looks really nice for the evening. Not expensive so it was well worth a visit.

Stayed here Friday evening for our works Christmas do. The room was pleasant, comfortable and modern with a good shower (only small negative was the shower gel was empty and hadn't been refilled, but these things happen). Breakfast the following morning was very good. Would gladly stay here again.

Nearly every aspect of our two night stay was excellent, the quality of the unique bedroom decor, its quietness, even had its own fireplace. We do have two comments about the bathroom though which did not seriously affect our stay. It came with a large shower which had no surface mat to prevent slip, nor a solid bar to assist balance. The toilet sat on a ledge above the floor which one had to step up to. The breakfast and dinner food was excellent both days. Service throughout left nothing to be desired.

Table sticky, no wine list or explanation of food. Two staff loudly complaining about a colleague who had criticised them during an inspection. We only ordered main courses as felt extremely uncomfortable. Food great - service shocking and terrible!

His words ..overpriced & overrated. My business friend is visiting, and under my recommendation. I was left embarrassed. Service was slow & unpersonal, zero atmosphere.. I was excited to take him there but left discussing the next chapter

We stayed two nights room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed provided. Staff we very welcoming and friendly going above and beyond to make our stay perfect, nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic. We ate at the Michelin plated Greyhound one lunch and the Peat Spade was, in our opinion, much better. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Absolutely no complaints and we hope to visit again.

Celebrated my birthday here for dinner and a stay in the Mayfly suite. It was truly lovely we have come home relaxed and very happy. The room was lovely and full of character, massive bath tub in the room and all the mod cons required. There was tea, hot chocolate and a nespresso machine with fresh milk in the fridge. The dinner was very tasty and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The only recommendation I would have is maybe doing something extra for a special occasion, like some writing on a plate at dessert or a message on the welcome letter as a special touch. Thank you for a lovely time we will be back for sure.
