Good location a lot of Thai restaurants and easy to grape a food for Asian

It was noisy and the wall were thin, since it was an older construction this was to be expected. The staff was great and helpful. I would recommend if you’re on a tight budget.

I actually really like this place. I've stayed here several times and it has gotten better each time. My last stay was the best. The only hang up is the street parking. Someone parked their work truck blocking half the driveway. Almost caused a few accidents, but other than that I'll be staying every time my job brings me to the area.

Lovely place with a pool Felt quiet and safe
Had to ask for coffee every morning. Would have been easier to have just made sure we had plenty in our room so we didn’t have to keep asking.
Room was nice. With fridge and iron and ironing board. Unfortunately the floor, although looked clean, was really dirty. Every time we walked across room - our socks or feet were filthy !!
But other than that would book again as great location without being too busy.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights.
1.The place is affordable and had a free parking space.
Parking is at your own risk though we had no issues but occasionally you see homeless people's tents beside your parked car since the parking lot is not gated
2.The room smells bad and not very clean.
Dusty carpet and under the bed was very dusty too.
The air in the room is very wet because there is no adequate circulation.
The major issue is that the vent in the bathroom is not working that make the air to be very damp and sticky.
The area is noisy a little bit too but its not a big problem.

Hair found in the bed. Stains on the sheets. Only 2 very small pillows on bed. Limited amenities. Very thin walls

I actually like the hotel, it's very convenient for business travel. There is only a few down sides to this place and they are the following.
1: Having to pay your deposit in cash. I haven't had to leave a cash deposit in over 30 years. What reputable hotel/motel does that?
2: The parking is free, but it's very tight. My room was in the main building but I had to park next to the other building. Someone put a cone in a parking spot to hold it for when they returned. REALLY?!?!
3: When I checked out, they had to check my room before they returned my deposit. I asked why he had to do that? The gentleman replied "We've been doing that for 10 years". Ok, like I'm going to steal the TV or the bed?? He said "No, i had to check if you smoked in the room". I told him I don't smoke!! But he had to check anyway.
This place could use a good refresher course in "Customer Service" and maybe a little updating. But if your in town and need a decent place to stay and your short on cash, give it a try.

Staff was helpful and kind at check in and directing us to local stores or activities. Room was nice and spacious. We have a family of five so was nice to have a room with 3 beds ( 2 queens and a double).
The drive to Universal studios was fairly easy and quick. We had no problem finding parking at the hotel lot for two nights. A few blocks away the neighborhood was a little rough, but felt safe and no troubles staying at Hollywood City Inn. Its a cute motel and I would stay again if in the area.
