Louisbourg Harbour Inn

Lovely B&B in Louisbourg. We had a Comfortable cozy room with a sitting area. Dining room for breakfast is bright and cheery, and the breakfast was gourmet! Hosts are most welcoming. Great location for touring the Fortress at Louisbourg and the Lighthouse.

We were the first guests of the season and fell in love with this Inn. Beautifully decorated and restored with spacious rooms and comfortable accommodation s. Breakfast is Excellent! Truly the pride of ownership is shown in every detail of this establishment.

We treated ourselves to the Harbour Loft; a lovely spacious suite with two sitting areas, a huge soaker tub, a big bathroom with two sinks (much appreciated each morning!) and a very comfy bed. Yes, the harbour is a working harbour but that did not detract from our enjoyment of the room. As expected for a heritage property, and much like in small European hotels, there is no elevator. Baggage must be brought to the upper floors via an external staircase. This wasn't a problem for us, but might be a consideration for elderly guests. The Inn is a ten minute drive from the Fortress of Louisbourg. We planned our visit to arrive in the afternoon, visit the Fortress the next day, stay the 2nd night and then begin our drive to Cape Breton; worked perfectly. The breakfasts at the Inn were plentiful and delicious. We had two dinners in Louisbourg, One at the Spoondrift Cafe which is a two minute walk from the Inn and another at the Bothy at North Star. Both excellent. We're very happy to highly recommend the Inn.

From our extremely comfortable room, two excellent breakfasts and convenient location, we knew we'd made the right decision. Very convenient for the Fortress at Louisbourg and two wonderful restaurants are a short walk away. Would recommend this place without hesitation.

Cet hébergement est excellent et impeccable. Tout y est prévu dans les moindres détails, de l'accueil à la qualité des installations en passant par le petit déjeuner. Le personnel est affable et efficace. La localisation est très bonne. C'est de loin, le meilleur endroit où nous avons séjourné pendant notre visite de la Nouvelle-Écosse. Nous recommandons sans aucune réserve.

Wir hatten den Kennington Room im Nebengebäude dem Heritage Inn. Von aussen war das Gebäude ziemlich alt, und stand auch unter Renivation. Das Zimmer war riesig, das Bett ebenso, quietschte und federte aber bei jeder Bewegung. Leider rich das ganze Zimmer sehr feucht, und es waren auch wasserschäden an der Decke sichtbar. Trotzdem hat es uns dort gefallen, und die Besitzerin war sehr nett und das Frūhstúck eine feine selbstgemachte Waffel.

Etablissement bien situé sur la route de la forteresse. Chambre d'un bon niveau et maigre petit déjeuner. Bon accueil. Mais vraiment très "british" dans tous les sens du terme. Pas le meilleur souvenir de notre séjour au Canada. Je ne le mets pas en tête de liste des haltes à recommander.
