Motel One Lübeck

We absolutely loved Motel One in Lubeck. The position of the hotel was superb, directly on the market place and the reception and bar were extremely well designed and welcoming. We had booked one double room and one single; reception had thoughtfully allocated the rooms next door to each other which was very helpful. The rooms were small but well designed and the beds were very comfortable. The shower room was easy to use and the fittings were safe and well designed for older people. The staff we met in the three days we stayed there were all very helpful and caring about our enjoyment of the hotel. We would have liked to have stayed for longer but we were touring north Germany so were not able to stay for further nights. We are looking forward to staying at other branches of Motel One in the future as they all look well appointed and good value.

ICE packs for medicine need to be placed in the freezer not the refrigerator. The front desk person was asked to place two ice packs into the hotel freezer so they would be ready for our journey back home. They were not frozen in the morning and expensive medicine had to be disposed of. Train your front staff better please. Do as the customer asks.

One night stay in Lubeck, very good Hotel, good location, good value for money!

We stayed here for a week and were not disappointed. It is within walking distance of the train station so we were able to do some touring. Our room was adequate. Breakfast was great - good selection. In the evening, when we returned from touring all day, it was great to have a nice relaxing drink by the bar. Would highly recommend.

The staff in the breakfast restaurant is rude.

Staff in the Bar were friendly and personalised especially Jack. Room is small with no basic item like toiletries or hot water kettle. Conveniently located in town area. Will stay again given chance to visit there again.

A very pleasant stay at a centrally located boutique hotel. Can recommend and will come back!

A bit of a designer hotel with attractively designed and roomy reception/lounge area. The bar specializes in gin with an impressive number of varieties. Rooms are spacious and dead quiet. When we arrived there was a bit of house keeping chaos and our room was not read until 5 pm. Even though I got upset the reception and hotel manager did their utmost to solve our situation. Also, the location is perfect.

Ich habe kürzlich im Motel One in Lübeck übernachtet und möchte meine Erfahrungen teilen: Check-in: Der Check-in über die Motel One App, die für iOS und Android bereitgestellt wird, verlief leider nicht reibungslos. Der QR-Code konnte vom Personal nicht genutzt oder eingescannt werden (die Technik ist dort bisher noch nicht dafür ausgelegt), sodass einige Informationen, die ich bereits in der App angegeben hatte, erneut abgefragt wurden. Frühstück: Das Frühstück bietet eine große Auswahl an veganen Milchalternativen und die Speisen sind in Bio-Qualität und entsprechend gekennzeichnet. Leider waren die Müslischalen ungeeignet, da sie viel zu klein waren und kaum Platz für Müsli und klein geschnittenes Obst boten. Der Obstsalat war ab 8:00 Uhr schon aus und wurde nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Veganer Joghurt war ebenfalls nach kurzer Zeit aus und am nächsten Tag gab es keinen mehr. Auch Äpfel und Bananen waren nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr verfügbar. Die Sitzmöglichkeiten im Essensbereich waren unpraktisch und zu wenig für die Anzahl der Frühstücksgäste. Zimmerausstattung: Der Fön war defekt, wurde aber innerhalb von ein paar Stunden ausgetauscht. Der Safe im Zimmer war ebenfalls defekt und wurde erst am nächsten Tag repariert. Es gab keine Möglichkeit, den Empfang aus dem Zimmer zu erreichen, da weder ein Telefon noch ein Tablet vorhanden war und das Personal telefonisch (über mein Handy) nicht erreichbar war, obwohl die Rezeption mit drei Mitarbeitern besetzt war. Der Fernseher schaltete sich jedes Mal ein, wenn die Zimmerkarte eingesteckt wurde, und es gab keine Möglichkeit, Streaming-Angebote zu nutzen oder eigene Geräte anzuschließen. Es gab leider nur ein schmales Fenster zu einer dunklen kleinen Straße, so dass es insgesamt ziemlich dunkel im Zimmer war. In der heißen Jahreszeit ist das aber wahrscheinlich vorteilhaft. Positiv anzumerken sind die angenehmen Betten und die Decken, die jedem Gast zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Lage: Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut und zentral. Service: Auf E-Mails wurde auch nach mehreren Tagen nicht geantwortet, und ich bin gespannt, ob ich überhaupt eine Antwort erhalte. Das Konzept des Hotels finde ich grundsätzlich gut, aber leider wurde es hier schlecht umgesetzt. Das Personal war teilweise unbeholfen und unprofessionell. Aufgrund dieser Erfahrungen haben wir unser bestelltes Frühstück storniert und sind stattdessen ins nahegelegene Café UTER gegangen, was wir nicht bereut haben. Ich hoffe, diese Bewertung hilft anderen Gästen und dem Management, die Qualität des Aufenthalts zu verbessern.
