I liked that it was directly in front of the beach. I didn’t like the odour in the room, the bubbling of paint on walls and the dirty windows and walls. I had me feeling very unclean. It’s old and dated. But if you’re looking for a place to crash, it’s for you. But not for us.

We have been staying at the Schooner Hotel for 2 decades, very sad to see the poor condition of the property. I heard they are planning to tear it down soon and obviously are no longer maintaining it much. The wood is rotted, the metal is corroded and rusted around the outside, the walls in our room were literally rotted at the bottom from water damage, mold on the ceiling...too much to even list. It was definitely our last stay! Lots of wonderful memories there. Super sad!!!

This was my second stay at the Schooner. I was disappointed to find the hot tub filled in with sand as I was looking forward to using it. Otherwise it was the same ol Schooner, good value for the price. I hope they get the hot tub figured out. I stayed with 4 friends and we all agreed even without the hot tub operational we would stay here again.

The staff was very helpful with our late check in. The property is older but charming. Steps from the beautiful beach. We would definitely return.

Right on the beach and great walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Didn't like having to park off a 4 lane highway where you had to back out onto the high speed lanes.

We could hear the traffic drivong by, even from the back of the property. There were tiny ants in the room aroubd the window that faced the beach. The pillows were comfortable and it was close to restaurants and the next location we were headed.

Great view and nice hotel. It was just old and needed some updating. overall we were very happy.

Owner was very responsive when we had a problem late at night. He answered the after hours number we called and fixed our problem right away. Will come back.

The views and location are excellent. The property itself could use some polishing though. Small things like missing light fixture globes, or the strings on the blinds missing and/or broken could be fixed. As the hotel is in a damp location being next to the gulf, wiping the accumulated grime off the window frames would also help boost the appeal. Overall I wouldn't stay again, but I also wouldn't recommend someone not stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, it's just not for me.
