This AC Hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The personnel were extremely nice and professional. (When I ordered room service the second day, the person taking the order asked if I wanted the same thing as the day before.). They have an awesome Jazz club with live performers each night! The room was great too. It was a corner room with 2 small balconies on each street. My wife and I had a wonderful time here!! Highly, highly recommended!!

I stayed at The AC Recoletos in Madrid in January, so I'm a little late with the review.  However, I would be remiss if I didn't add to all the other rave reviews about this hotel.  Where to start, I guess with location.  The hotel is within walking distance to the wonderful three art museums,  and also to The Sorolla Musuem and the The Lázaro Galdiano Museum.  The National Archaeological Museum is nearby as well as is the lovely El Retiro Park. There is a lively market, Mercado De La Paz, within a few blocks (fresh everything with some tasty little tapas stalls). And, one more thing, there are theaters within blocks for interesting evening performances. Now, for the hotel, perfect.  The staff was more than accommodating.  I really appreciated that after a long flight my room was ready when I arrived.  As a solo traveler, I also appreciated the travel tips, directions, and neighborhood advice (it's a wonderful area for walking).  My room was spotless, spacious, and well lit.  Breakfast was fresh and substantial.  What more can I say ??  Maybe just Thank You.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location and facilities are very good and the staff very helpful. I would particularly like to pay tribute to Monica on Reception who was tremendously helpful. The only problem I experienced was trying to get a drink at the bar one night when a concert was scheduled for later in the evening - everybody was too busy to serve me and I ended up going out to get a drink. However this was a mere blip and the overall experience was great.

Stayed at this lovely hotel for three nights with the family and cannot praise enough the staff, always super kind and helpful, particularly the ladies at breakfast. Overall a very good hotel, with an amazing location steps away from Alcala', in one of the most elegant areas of Madrid. Nice bedrooms. Will be back!
